His lips trailed from my shoulder up my neck, stopping at my ear. "Tell me what you want, baby."
That was the easiest question I'd had to answer in a long time. "Make me come."
He rubbed little circles over my clit as his large hands caressed my breast, and his fingers teased my nipple. His teethgrazed my neck, and the mixture of it all was almost too much. Moaning, I grabbed for his arms, wrapping my hands around his muscles as they flexed beneath my grasp. My body vibrated against him, and when his finger dipped, sinking into me, I cried out. My moans echoed through the quiet night, but there was no one for miles to hear them.
Rocking my hips against his hands, I was silently begging for more. He added another finger and pumped them in and out as his rapid breath fanned across my shoulder. He increased his speed, and my body trembled as his thumb pressed against my clit, adding the perfect amount of pressure. His fingers worked in sync, finding a rhythm that set my body on fire. My body shook as I inched closer and closer to the end.
"Cole," I cried out, my entire body tensing up just as I exploded in ecstasy. As he slipped his hand out of my panties and bra, he held my weak body against his. I wasn't sure how well my legs would work. Our labored breathing filled the quiet night as we both came down from a high.
My gaze dropped, and I realized that all of my clothes were soaking wet.
"We should go eat," Cole whispered. "If it’s not burnt."
I laughed. "Is eating naked part of grown-up camping?"
He smirked. "I have some towels and some extra clothes in the truck."
I tilted my head and narrowed my eyes as I smiled. "You had this all planned out."
"Yep." He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around me just under my ass before tossing me over his shoulder. "Everything right down to what you're going to sleep in tonight."
I couldn't fight the grin spreading across my face. "Hey, Cole."
"Hm?" He carried me up the shore bank, heading back to the fire.
"I missed this." He stopped in front of the fire, dropping me to my feet. "I missed you. I missed us."
"Yeah," he nodded, "me too." He jerked his head toward the truck. "Let’s get you something dry, and then I'll feed you."
Chapter Twenty-Five
Taylor
Standing on the front porch of the home my parents built, I watched as the black Chevy Silverado drove down my dirt driveway, pulling to a stop at the end.
My gaze shifted to the open field as the purr of a four-wheeler got louder.
"Is that the realtor?" Cole asked, easing to a stop and killing the engine.
I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest. My gaze shifted back to the end of the driveway, and a tall older man got out of the truck and pulled a for sale sign out of the truck bed.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," I lied. I was anything but okay, but there was no need to drag him down with me.
"Maybe this is a good thing, Tay." He smiled. "A fresh start somewhere new."
I forced a smile. Maybe he was right, but it didn't feel right. It felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces, but I was so used to the feeling that everything was just numb. Everything inmy life for the past two years had been nothing but heartbreak. One right after the other until last night when Cole kissed me. I forgot about everything else except us in that moment, but even though he was right there with me, he still felt so far away.
"What are you doing here?" I changed the subject. Last night, after what seemed like a huge breakthrough, he'd brought me home, and I'd asked him to stay over, but he declined. He didn't explain why; he just said no. My feelings were still raw this morning from the rejection, even though I knew they shouldn't be. He needed time, and I needed to respect that.
"I wanted to see if you wanted to go for a ride?"
Clearing my throat, I smiled before shaking my head. "I actually need to start packing things up. Realtor said there's already been a ton of interest in the place, so it will sell quickly." I had no idea how I was going to pack up centuries of memories and where I was going to put them once it was packed.
"Well, how about I go grab Bailey, and we'll come to help you."
I really didn't want help. I wanted to be alone to mourn the loss of my home, but I knew Cole wasn't going to give up, and even if I didn't want it, I needed help. "That sounds great."
