Trystan: Flying in tomorrow.

Jazz: Meet us at the hotel. You have a photoshoot for your social media.

I snarled at the phone. I hated social media, and I hated that I practically had to sell my soul to move up in the industry, but I did it. I did it for my future. I did it for my band and their future, but I'd be glad when it was over, and I could focus on the music.

Trystan: I'll be there.

Even if I didn't want to be, I would be there because I couldn't let my band down.

I clicked my phone black and knocked twice on Camryn's front door. I wanted to plan a real date for us, but Camryn didn't want to. She wanted to spend the night at her house, just the two of us. One of these days, I would get the chance to plan something real. Something that made her feel special.

Camryn opened the door and stole my breath. She was so fucking beautiful. Her dark hair was a little longer than when I left on tour, but her eyes were the same deep blue. She wore a pair of black pair of leggings and an old Rage Nation t-shirt that Creed had made before our first gig years ago.

"Hey," she smiled, stepping back to let me in.

I leaned in, pressing a quick kiss to her lips in passing. "You look beautiful."

“Thanks,” she blushed. “So, what did you want to do tonight?"

"I thought maybe we could talk."

She sucked in a deep breath. "Honestly, I'm tired of talking."

I narrowed my eyes. "O…kay."

"You leave tomorrow, and tonight, I just want to be with you. I don't want to try to figure out what we are or what we want from each other. I think we both know the answers to all those questions. I think everything else will fall into place."

"So, what do you want to do tonight?"

Her lips curved up into a grin. "I want to spend the night cuddled on the couch watching movies until we fall asleep together." Her gaze met mine. "Is that okay?"

"Are you sure? Because I thought…"

"That I wanted to talk? That I wanted to spend another night trying to figure out how we fit into each other's lives?" I nodded. "I know what I want, and I think I know what you want. I think we just need to let it happen. I think I need to learn to trust that you're not going to hurt me again, and that starts with us just being together. No rules, no expectations, no past, just us."

"What happens after I leave tomorrow?"

She shrugged. "That's up to you, but I don't want to think about that tonight."

I dropped my bag on the floor near the door. "Then let's get this party started." I leaned forward, shoving my shoulder into her. I hooked an arm around the back of her legs and hoisted her over my shoulder.

She squealed out a laugh. "What are you doing?"

I strolled through the foyer into the living room. "What movie do you want to watch?"

"Something scary."

"Do you want pizza or popcorn?"

"Both?" I laughed as I dropped her on the couch before dropping beside her and pulling my phone out of my pocket. "I'll order the pizza, and you find the movie."

She jerked my phone out of my hands and tossed it onto the couch. My brows pulled together as my gaze followed the phone before turning to her. "Not yet."

She shifted her weight, a subtle movement that filled the space between us with electricity. Her eyes held mine as she moved and slid one leg over me, straddling my lap. The fabric of her leggings whispered against my jeans. She hovered there, not quite settling, the heat of her body tantalizingly close but not touching.

My hands found her hips, and the muscles beneath my fingers tensed. "What are you doing?" The question came out rougher than I intended.

Her lips curved into a smile that made my mouth go dry. She leaned forward, close enough that I could feel her breath against my lips, but didn't close the distance. "I'm going to kiss you." The promise in those words made my heart stutter.
