Page 26 of Make Me

“No one has ever…" She pauses as she searches for the right words. “No one has ever made me feel beautiful and desirable before.” Her eyes fill with tears, and I wipe them with my thumb as they fall down her cheeks. “Thank you for that, Cooper.”

I pull her on top of me and stroke her spine with my fingertips. “Youarebeautiful and desirable, and I’m going to make you feel that way every single day.”

Chapter 16

Laci

It’s a quiet Wednesday afternoon, and Aunt Mae returns from lunch holding a large cup. She has a wide smile and winks at me as soon as she walks in. She holds the door open, and Cooper walks in behind her.

When he crosses the threshold, I blush remembering the early morning sex we had. Cooper leaves for work before I do, and when I opened my eyes this morning, his hard dick was pressed against my naked backside. His large hands were already playing with my nipples—my very sensitive nipples, as we’ve recently discovered. I was already wet, and as soon as I rolled onto my back, he grabbed a condom, put it on, and slid into me. It was fast and a little bit rough. Just the way I like it. That was another discovery.

I step from behind the cash register, and when he opens his arms, I run right in. He holds me tight and kisses my temple.

“You hungry?” he asks.

“Famished,” I whisper in his ear. He lets out a little yelp of surprise when I nip his earlobe.

“I see I’ve created a monster,” he says. And he has. We’ve spent every night together since the day he took us to the fair, most of them at my house because of Ivy. Sam sleeps in her room, and as soon as she falls asleep, Cooper and I give in to our desires.

“Where are you two going?” Aunt Mae asks.

“I’m just taking my girlfriend out for lunch, Aunt Mae.” Aunt Mae beams at Cooper’s statement, and I find myself blushing. A surprise laugh escapes.

“It’s funny that I had a husband before I ever had a boyfriend.”

“Life’s funny like that sometimes, Laci,” Aunt Mae says. I pull out of Cooper’s embrace, and he intertwines our fingers. We say a quick goodbye to Aunt Mae, and he opens the door for me. As soon as we get outside, he lets go of my fingers, pulls me into his body, and gives me a kiss too deep and indecent for the middle of the day on Main Street. I’m blushing by the time he pulls away.

“I’ve been dying to do that since we said goodbye this morning.” He pulls his arm around my waist. I do the same to his, and we walk across the street to an Italian restaurant. The hostess leads us to a booth all the way in the back. Instead of taking the seat across from me, Cooper takes the one right next to me.

He plants a loud, wet kiss on my cheek, and I let out a shriek that’s too loud for the enclosed space. When I look up at the hostess, she’s scowling down at me, and I sober up and straighten up. Instead of handing us the menus, she drops them on the table and walks away.

“Do you know her?” I ask, suddenly feeling self-conscious. I tighten the sweater that’s draped across my shoulders.

“That’s Tiffany, and she’s Candace’s cousin,” he says. The lightness of the moment disappears as soon as he says her name. I saw Candace yesterday at the grocery store. We walked right by each other, and the look I received from her sent shivers down my spine, but I did my shopping and ignored her.

“So,” he says, obviously ready to change the subject. “Did you think about the conversation we had the other night?” The blush returns to my face, but he doesn’t let me look away. Thankfully, the waitress arrives, and she’s much friendlier than the hostess. She’s a middle-aged woman with her hair pulled back, sporting a welcoming smile.

After placing our orders, a chef’s salad for me and a Cobb salad for Cooper, she runs off, and I’m forced to answer Cooper’s question.

“I did think about it,” I tell him. “And I want to try it,” I say, looking directly into his brown eyes.

“That’s good since I already bought a few things,” he says smugly.

“Oh, really, Mr. Stevens.” He laughs, and I lower my voice. “What exactly did you buy?”

“You’ll see tonight as soon as Ivy goes to sleep.” The thought immediately sets my body on fire. My nipples harden, and I feel the need to rub my thighs together. I lay my hand on Cooper’s thigh and slowly rub it. His nostrils flare, and his breathing picks up.

I lay my chin on his shoulder, and he puts an arm around me, pulling me closer. I exhale and relax in his arms. Having never been desired before, it hasn’t taken me long to get used to it. In fact, I ask myself how I could have been so blind and dumb as to marry a man who despised me.

This man can’t walk by me without touching or kissing me. As soon as Ivy fell asleep last night, he picked me up and carried me to my bedroom. I tried to get away to shower, but he kissed me so deep while he rubbed himself against me, all the while telling me how he couldn’t wait. So, I didn’t make him wait. I grabbed a condom, handed it to him, got on the bed and pulled him on top of me.

“You do realize what you started yesterday, right?” He grabs my hand and discreetly puts it on his hard dick. He holds my arm there and wiggles his eyebrows.

“Not that,” I tease. I move my hand and intertwine our fingers. “Guess who was talking about walkingherdoggie the entire ride to daycare this morning? She said she can’t wait to do it again.”

He smiles and actually puffs out his chest in pride. After dinner last night, the three of us took Sam for a walk, and Cooper let Ivy hold the leash.

“Someone needs to tell her that Sam ismydoggie,” he says, but he smiles fondly at the idea. “And she is one bossy two-year old.”
