“Enough,” I tell him. “I know where I’ve been and what I’ve done. I know everything I’ve lost. I know what I need. I know what I need to do better than you ever could.” Determined not to let him ruin my good mood, I leave him in the kitchen and go to the room they’ve given me for the summer.
I lift my shirt over my head and toss it in the hamper in the closet. Then, I pull my phone out of my pocket and do something I don’t ever remember doing before. I text a woman I’m interested in.
Me: Can’t stop thinking about last night.
She replies immediately, and the name I assigned to her in my phone pops up.
Lettie: My pussy can’t stop tingling.
I let out a loud cackle, but I feel a blush spread over my body.
Lettie: I bet you’re blushing.
She adds a blushing emoji.
Me: Maybe. You have a filthy mouth…and a deep throat.
Lettie: But I still gagged so my throat isn’t deep enough for that huge dick.
Me: When would you like to gag again?
Lettie: Five minutes ago, but ASAP will work too.
Me: Tonight?
Lettie: It’s a date.
She ends with a wink emoji, and I send her one with a kiss. Just as I throw the phone down on the bed, there’s a knock on my door, and it bursts open before I can say come in.
Evan runs and climbs on my bed, while Johnny wraps himself around one of my legs. Colt comes in behind them.
“Unco Tarley,” Johnny says. I pick him up, and his pudgy hands end up in my hair, and he gives it a good tug.
“Vickie’s got hot yoga with Violet soon.” My heart starts to beat erratically at the mention of her name, but I do my best to remain stoic and not give us away. “I’m gonna feed the boys breakfast, and then I want us to get some practice in before Evan plays later.”
“Give me ten minutes to shower, and I’ll make breakfast. Lord knows you can’t cook.” He smirks, but I know that’s why he came in here. He’s good at a lot of things, but food isn’t one of them unless he’s doing the eating.
“Where did you go last night, Uncle Charlie?” Evan asks.
“Yeah, Uncle Charlie. Where did you go?” Colt asks, mimicking Evan’s voice. He leans against the wall and crosses his arms.
“I was with a friend,” is all I say. I put Johnny on the bed with his brother and walk out of the room without another word.
Chapter 10
Violet
It’s with great relief that I end the hot yoga class. I only do one class at the gym on the weekends, and I keep all of my private training sessions Monday through Friday. By the weekend, I’m exhausted and only stay in the gym for a short amount of time. I’ve had enough success to hire an assistant manager, andI have enough instructors to teach the weekend classes, leaving me free to do paperwork or to sit on my couch with my feet up.
The women file out of the room and when I finally step out, I’m relieved to have cool air hit my face and skin. The one-piece I have on sticks to me, and I think about sneaking upstairs to take a shower and change.
“You killed me again, Violet,” Vickie says before she downs an entire bottle of water. Her sister Tara nods in agreement. Tara is a new client of mine. She’s only three months post-partum and we’ve recently started our personal sessions. Having her as a client is another coup. She’s married to one of the richest men in the city, and that’s saying a lot since this city is replete with millionaires and billionaires.
“You both will live,” I say, waving them off.
“I’m going to head home,” Tara says. “I need a shower, and I need to breastfeed. There will be hell for my husband to pay for turning me into a baby feeding machine.” She hugs her sister and tells me goodbye before she walks toward the front door.
“I’m going to shower. Colt’s meeting me here so we can go to Evan’s game.” She grabs her backpack and heads to the locker room.
