Her hips bucked up to meet his, and her legs fell open as he pressed his hard length inside her heat.

“Oh!” Her body stretched to accommodate him, but he didn’t pause or wait until she’d adjusted to his size. A small mercy she was grateful for because the last thing she wanted was for him to slow down in any way.

Her hands reached around to claw at his back as he pulled out before once more thrusting deep inside her.

“You feel so fucking good.”

Her only response was a groan. Words were beyond her as he continued his deep thrusts. She dropped her head back against the headboard, as another climax teased. And just when she thought she might explode into another kaleidoscope of heat and color, Asher pulled back and her eyes flew open.

Before she could protest, Asher wrapped an arm around her and easily scooped her up to flip her around so that he was now on the bottom and she straddled his strong hips.

“Fuck yes.” He grinned as he leaned back against the pillows. “This is exactly the view I wanted.”

Noa took a moment to resettle herself on him, filling herself completely. She sat up and tossed her hair back over her shoulder, giving him every bit of the show he wanted.

His pupils were blown with desire as he reached up for her, letting his hands travel down the length of her body to rest on her hips.

She rocked her hips forward and he matched her every move until finally, she couldn’t hold her climax back any longer. His eyes rolled back and she felt him tense beneath her at the same moment.

She cried out, unable to hold back, and Asher did the same, driving up into her as he took his own release.

When she came back to her senses, Noa rolled off him to her side, and Asher immediately pulled her up tight against his chest.

“Umm,” he murmured in her ear. “That was well worth the wait.” He left lazy kisses on her neck, and she snuggled back even tighter against him. “Careful, sweetheart. I think I’ll be ready for round two before you know it.”

“Round two?”

“After that…” He nipped and sucked at her neck playfully. “There is no way one time will ever be enough.”

Asher finally draggedhimself out of bed and away from Noa a few hours later. The beautiful blue-sky day they’d enjoyed the day before had been replaced with heavy clouds and the threat of snow. Still, with the fresh morning light, Asher could finally get a good look at the cabin he was going to call home for the next few months.

His initial impression the night before had been accurate. The house was old, but obviously well kept. Given that it was in his name, he assumed that Steven Larson had been tasked with the upkeep of the house since his father’s death.

But why?

With Noa in the shower, Asher took his time to explore the cupboards and closets of the cabin. It was stocked with extra blankets, towels, and even some spare clothes in the bottom bedroom dresser drawer. Asher didn’t recognize the jeans and flannel shirts as his father’s, but truthfully, he’d rarely seen his dad in such casual clothing.

In the kitchen, there were plenty of dishes and cooking supplies, along with the canned goods and items in the freezer he’d found the night before.

Asher was still going to have to make a run to the store for some perishables at some point, but he had what he needed, at least for a little bit.

Whattheyneeded.

He glanced at the closed bathroom door. The mere thought of Noa naked and wet just beyond the thin piece of wood that separated them was enough to light up his body with a fresh surge of desire.

He’d meant what he’d said earlier: once was not enough. Their connection was fire in a way he hadn’t experienced with another woman since—well, ever.

He shook his head and forced himself to look away.

The last thing he should do was join her in the shower. What he really needed was space from her because when she was near, the only thing he wanted to do was push her up against the wall and do dirty things to her. All kinds of delicious, sexy?—

No.

What he really needed to do was take her back to the lodge and her family, who was no doubt losing their minds over the wedding that didn’t happen.

“Shit.” Noa’s family wasn’t going to be the only ones losing their minds. Guilt flared through him. From the moment she’d jumped into the cab of his truck, he hadn’t given any thought to anything else. Including the business he was walking away from.
