He'd listened with half an ear when one of the vamps had told him that their kind was likely to go mad if they didn't turn early in their adulthood.
"Does this have to do with what you've told me?" he asked through gritted teeth.
"Yes," the long-haired guy replied. "More than likely."
Shit. That meant it wasn't a misunderstanding. His father wasn't innocent.
"So, that's the deal? I have to become a vampire or start killing people?"
No one replied, so he turned to face them.
