The others stared blankly at the bunny in my arms. "When he changes back, we're so dead," Alec announced.
West and Rome nodded. "Yup."
"You think if we leave for the airport now, we'd make it time?" Alec asked.
"Maybe," the other two replied.
"Stop overreacting." Aaron sighed, reaching out to pet Bunny Roxas. "He's jus a bun-"
A stream of fire shot out of his mouth, missing Aaron's hand by a millimeter.
"Holy fuck, he breathes fire!" Aaron waved his hand to try and cool it off.
"Uh..." I trailed off, looking at Roxas, who continued to shoot out beams a fire. They were still pretty tiny, only reaching a few inches into the air. "I thought it would be cute?"
"You really need to redefine cute." Aaron sighed.
I lowered Roxas back to the ground, watching him begin to hop around. "How am I going to change him back?" I asked.
"Uh." The four of them looked at one another. "I think you have to kiss him," Aaron announced.
"Come again?” I asked. “Oh. hell nah. Not happening. I don't even know him!" I argued.
The guys didn't say anything and I rolled my eyes. "I know the old, whatever-number-of-centuries-ago him. Not the almost twenty-year-old Roxas now."
"Well, in the Princess and the Frog movie she kissed him and he became a prince once more," Rome stated.
"What does that have to do with reality? It was a fairytale," I countered.
"Actually, it was real. The princess had obtained her powers and the prince had mocked her for being weak. She cast a spell where he'd have to live a life as a frog until he learned to respect females. He was turned into a frog and had to live around the princess because she was the only one willing to take care of him," West explained.
Rome nodded. "In the end, the prince realized he'd been looking down on people below him and felt the hardship of being ignored and belittled. He understood that mocking the princess was mean and was impressed that she'd shown him kindness after what he'd done. She kissed him to turn him back to normal and he apologized by proposing to her. They got married and lived happily ever after."
"See, that's not how it is in the books," I whispered to myself.
"If the story was like that, they wouldn't make money for the movies. They have to make the princess a damsel in distress," Alec emphasized.
"Until Frozen. That movie proved the movie creators wrong," Aaron pointed out.
"True," the others nodded in agreement.
"Woof?"
I looked down to see Daisy at my feet, her paw tapping my left foot.
"What's wrong, Daisy?" I asked. She whimpered and walked to the door. I tilted my head in confusion, realizing a certain black bunny with red eyes was missing.
"Oh, hell nah! Where's Bunny Roxas!" I shrieked, running straight to the door. I noticed Daisy's doggy door was slightly open. Oh no!
"Fire-breathing bunny on the loose!!!!" I screamed. The others ran to the door as I opened it and ran outside. I looked left and right, trying to find Roxas's little body, but I couldn't see him with how dark it was.
"Shit. We need to move fast. Alice, you still have flashlights in the basement?" Aaron asked.
"Yes! In the first standing cupboard," I replied. He rushed to the stairs that led to the basement. I walked down the front porch steps.
"Roxas!" I shouted. "Roxas!"
"Let's split up. He should still have some type of magic aura to him. We'll be able to find him fast before an animal tries to eat him," Rome ordered, taking charge.
