"We heard Daisy's bark and came here to get her but Roxas's eyes went all gold and he told me to run before he passed out. Then that monster —which by the way, I was ready to kick his ass — showed up,"I explained.
Aaron raised an eyebrow at me. "You were going to kick "his" ass. How do you know that thing was a ‘he’? And I really doubt you were going to kick his ass with first-level defense."
"You don't know that. If you'd given me ten more seconds, I would have proven to you that I could handle it myself. I didn't need you to save me," I argued, pointing my finger at him.
"Why do I feel as though this has happened before?" West sighed.
"I feel the same way," Alec noted.
"You think you to can carry Roxas? I think he's going to be out for a while," Rome stated.
"Sure," West and Alec said together.
"You should be grateful we got here on time. You could have gotten hurt," Aaron argued.
"I would have been perfectly fine. Witch be damned did I need any help."
"Witch be damned? That's not even a saying!" Aaron argued. I rolled my eyes, turning around to walk to where the monster had been standing.
"Where are you going?!" Aaron asked.
"To pick up the shiny thing! If you'd been paying attention you would have noticed," I replied. It was strange for us to be fighting over Aaron saving me, but it really did piss me off. I was ready to be a kick ass heroine in my own witch adventure and he'd stolen the spotlight!
How infuriating.
I saw the little sparkle on the ground and I leaned down to pick it up. It was a necklace of some sort, with a black metal chain and a dark emerald jewel. The gem glistened in the moonlight, reminding me of a something.
Or someone.
"Who does this belong to?" I whispered, staring at it with longing. I could slowly picture the person.
Black hair...with white? Tall...his voice was low but alluring...but...how do I know that? Who...who is he?
"Alice?!" Aaron's voice called to me, but it sounded more like an echo. I wanted to look away from the jewel, but the thought of who this man was was so close to appearing and I didn't want to lose it.
I bit my lip, doing my best to focus, but the soft scent of pine with hints of mint and rosemary hit my nose. I blinked, realizing my shoes weren’t on the soft squishy grass but on solid dark wood.
Lifting my head, I noticed I was facing a wall. I turned around to realize I was in a bedroom.
My eyes landed on a man standing with his back facing me. His hair was long with hints of white. My eyes trailed down his 6'4" figure, realizing that he was completely naked. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened when he turned around to face me, dark emerald orbs locked on to my stunned ones.
"After centuries have passed and we've been given a second chance at life, my Sweet Love still loves to surprise me."
"Sweet...Alice," I whispered in shock, feeling as though this was a dream.
"Who..." I trailed off, knowing well I wouldn't get my answer right away. I lowered my gaze down his naked body, stopping right at his manhood.
If this was what witching was going to lead me to, I was questioning whether to continue being defiant or go all in.
"My question still stands. Who are you?" He whispered.
Damn...Witch Me So.
