I lowered a kiss onto his nose, hoping with all my might he'd turn back. I kept my eyes closed, feeling like I was still holding something, but afraid to open my eyes.

What if it didn't work? What if he's stuck forever?

The thought frightened me, but I began to gather the courage to open my eyes. I was ready to do it, seconds from opening my squeezed eyelids, but something soft pressed against my lips.

My eyes snapped open; gorgeous red orbs with hints of gold met mine. A wave of relief flooded through me, and I slowly closed my eyes and kissed him back.

In this stilled moment, my body, mind, and soul knew him. I recalled the tenderness of his lips and the vibrancy of those eyes. Kissing him felt right, and even though moments earlier I was afraid and anxious about what was to come, with his simple kiss, I knew we wouldn't fail this time.

We'd figure this out, together. I wasn't alone like back then in the forest. We couldn’t let the future repeat itself. We wouldn’t allow it.

His lips slowly left mine and I opened my eyes to look into his once more. My eyes trailed down his body, realizing rather quickly that he was completely naked. My cheeks burned, and I was sure my face was bright red, but I couldn't speak.

"I don't get why you like changing me into a bunny," he mumbled more to himself than me.

Damn...he' was hot...and cute up close.

He sighed and rose up, turning around to give me a perfect view of his butt cheeks. I was about to lower my gaze to see what was between his legs, but he snapped his fingers and a new set of clothes appearing on his body.

He looked over his shoulder to meet my stunned look with a pleased smile. "Gotta get to know me before you enjoy the full view, Alice,"

"I-I wasn't enjoying anything!" I argued. "And you kissed me!" I huffed.

"If my bunny memory is correct, you kissed me first. Was just returning the favor." He winked and headed to the door.

I take it back. He's cuter as a bunny.

"Roxas," he whispered.

"Huh?" I asked.

"My name is Roxas. It's nice to meet you again, Alice." He looked over his shoulder to meet my puzzled gaze. "We'll figure this out. Just remember, you’re not alone."

With that, he opened the door and ventured outside, leaving me to smile at his words.

I wasn’t alone. Love. Maybe it did conquer all. As long as you gave it a chance.
