DECLAN
The door hitsthe wall behind it, hard. Before it can slam back into me, I put my hand out and look around the house. Mason and Hayden go upstairs to see if he’s there.
“What the hel-” Trixie’s dad stops mid-sentence, and looks at me with eyes wide open. “Is Trixi-”
“The fact that bitch is still in this house, you don’t get to ask about Trixie.” I look up at Hayden and Mason who stop at the bottom of the stairs and give me a shake of their heads.
Fuck.
Taking in a deep breath I turn back to the bitch who thinks she’s untouchable. “Where is he?” I ask, and she smiles. Wrong fucking move. Pushing Trixie’s dad out of the way, I grab her by the neck and slam her so hard against the wall the frames fall to the floor.
“You can’t touch her!” Trixie’s dad shouts, and I start laughing, and make sure the bitch is looking straight into my eyes.
“This time next week you’ll be dead, that’s a promise. How you die is your choice. Where. Is. He?” I ask again. There is no way I’m letting her pick the way she dies, that’s already planned out for her. It’s a shame when someone drunk walks along train tracks, and loses balance. That’s how she will die, and I will stand there watching as the train goes over her.
“He hasn’t been home in a few days,” Trixie’s dad shouts, and for a split second something changes in her eyes. She knows where he is.
“I’ll count to five. When I get to five then your death will be painful. One…Two…Three.”
“There are only two places he could be. One would be the city house his dad lived in, or someplace him and his friend Brad go to, but I don’t know where that is,” she quickly tells me, and I believe her.
Moving in closer to her, I whisper. “The countdown to your death starts now.” Leaving the house, I look over at Miles who is busy working on Robert's laptop, and I start pacing by the car waiting to hear something from him.
How many times has he raped my girl while he’s got her?
How many times has he hit her?
Fuck, what if she’s hurt herself, and I’m too late.
“Fuck!” I shout and punch the window to Cain’s car which shatters into pieces. “I could be too late.” I turn to my brothers. “What if I’m too late, I already know he’s raped her, it would be the first thing he does, but what if I’m too late and she-”
“Hey.” Hayden stands in front of me. “You can’t think like this, you need to focus on finding her. Once we find her then we can worry about everything else. But we’re here.” Hayden places his hands on my shoulder, and for the first time in my life, I break down in front of my brothers.
“I can’t lose Big Man and Trixie within the same day, I can’t lose her.” The thought of it hurts my chest, and my hand starts rubbing it to ease the pain. “I love her Hayden, I can’t lose her.”
“And you won’t. Come on, you’ve got this.”
“D, we’re here. We won’t stop until we find her.” Mason pats my back, and I look over at the house. “But you need to focus, you’re pissed off, we get it, but it’s not helping anyone.”
I walk away from my brothers for a moment, to get my thoughts together. Mason’s right. I can’t lose it. I rub the side of my temple, closing my eyes, trying to calm myself down. Fuck. I love Trixie and I haven’t even been able to tell her. When I find her it’s going to be the first thing I’m saying to her. She needs to know what she means to me.
“D, you with us?” Hayden asks, but I look up at the sky and maybe for the first time in my life I pray to whoever is up there, to give me my girl back.
Cain stands next to me, silently and he pats my back. “We’re going to make sure every family knows, if they fuck with us, they will die,” I tell him.
“And they will die.” He pats my back again, and laughs to himself. “By the way, you can pay for my window, you broke too.” I have to laugh mostly because he’s saying it with a straight face.
“Found Brad.” Miles tells us the address, and we all get in the car and go.
I love Trixie, and I’m going to tell the whole fucking world about it, too.
THIRTY-FIVE

One day.I’ve been here a full day, and Declan still hasn’t found me. Is he looking for me? Of course he is, but I was only a toy for him, nothing special.
SHUT UP!I shout at myself. Declan cares for me. I know he does.
