“Where are you hoping to get drafted?” I ask Noah as he lines up his shot.

“IfI get drafted… anywhere but Florida.” He taps the tip against the cue ball, sending one of his striped balls against the wall, missing the pocket. “I’m ready for a change of scenery.”

“Whenyou get drafted,” Desmond corrects.

“Yeah, we all know you’re a first-round pick,” I agree, lining up the cue ball, angling towards the eight. “You may be shit at pool, but you’re damn good at throwing a pigskin.”

Noah rolls his eyes, fighting a smirk. “Stop sweet talking me, Anderson.”

I slide the pool stick between my fingers and pocket the eight, winning the game.

“Nice!” Desmond says, high-fiving me.

“Alright, who’s next?” I ask, holding up the pool stick, ready to get back to Sophia.

A freshman on the team grabs it, and I make my way through the house. My eyes snag on a blonde head bobbing back and forth near the dance floor. Another familiar frame comes into view, and I stop dead in my tracks at the sight of Theo holding Sophia close. Her arms are around his neck as she sways with him to the beat of the music.

My brain knows he’s doing this to screw with me, but the adrenaline pumping through me says to break this shit up right now.

I take a calming breath, heading directly toward them. My hand finds the small of Sophia’s back, and I lean down to her ear with clenched teeth. “This isn't what I’d call being a good girl.”

“Maybe not.” She spins around, smiling at me with glossed over eyes, and grinds her ass against Theo. “But I’m havingsooomuch fun,” she slurs.

Great, she’s wasted.

My eyes flick to Theo, who’s wearing an amused grin on his face, and I want to hit it right off him. Sophia turns back around, hooking her hands around his neck.Really?I mouth at him with raised brows.

He lets out an amused laugh before gently grabbing Sophia’s hands from around his neck.

“Sorry, angel face,” he says, tapping his forehead to hers. “I think that’s enough fucking with E for tonight.” He pulls away, locking eyes with me, then bends down and whispers something in her ear, causing her to roar with laughter.

Well, guess who’s getting a horse tranquilizer in his morning coffee?

He leaves us, and I immediately grab Sophia’s hand and pull her to me. She huffs and rolls her eyes but doesn’t fight me as I hold her close, swaying us to the beat.

“Why are you such a wet blanket?” she asks, eyes filled with irritation. “Really putting a damper on myfun.”

“You’re drunk, Sunflower. And I promise Theo was only after one thing.”

“Oh yeah?” She rolls her eyes dramatically. “Maybe I wanted that one thing too.”

I narrow my eyes down at her as my veins buzz with jealousy. “Oh yeah? And what’s that?”

“You knowexactlywhat,” she says, mocking my earlier comment.

“Spell it out for me.”

She attempts a serious face. “Tryna get my jalapeño coochie wet.”

I let out a rumbling laugh. “Shit, baby, youaredrunk.”

“You know? Someone to soak up this sunflower’s sweet nectar.” Sophia gestures to her silhouette. In a moment of weakness, I reach out and place my hands on her hips. She rests her palms on top, dragging mine along her every curve. My eyes flutter shut, savoring the feeling of her body under my touch. “So if Theo’s only after one thing… what are you after?”

Opening my eyes, I look down at her and glide my thumb along her jawline. “Just making sure you don’t do anything you’ll regret tomorrow.”

“What makes you think I would regret Theo?” she asks, her eyes dancing with mischief as she silently challenges me.

I take a deep breath, trying to calm the pounding in my chest. “You might not, but I’d regret letting you leave with him again,” I admit, staring down at her intently.
