Nodding to Luca, he walks over to her and gently takes her by the arm.
“Wait, please! Can I say goodbye first?”
I sneer between her and Mauro. He’s hurt her this much, yet she still loves him.
“Make it quick.”
Luca lets her go and she runs toward Mauro, throws her arms around him, and sobs. He doesn’t deserve her. He didn’t even try to stop her from giving herself to me in exchange for his life.
Fucking fool.
“Rosabelle, I’m so sorry for all of this! I will find a way to get you free from here! I promise!”
My anger grows at the thought of him freeing her from me. I nod my head to Luca and he grabs her softly, pulling her away from her father.
“I love you!”
She manages to get the words out before she’s removed from the room. Her sobs echo behind her. I turn back toward Mauro and I want to knock his fucking face in for what he’s done; not to me, but to her.
To Rosabelle.
The mere thought of her name lures a possessive growl from deep within me.
“Get up,” I spit at him.
Slowly, he picks himself up off of the floor.
“You don’t deserve her. You didn’t even fight to save her from me. You’re a worthless piece of shit and what just happened here ismorethan enough proof of that. You’re never going to see your daughter again. Not that you will, but try not to lose any sleep over this. I’ll take real good care of her.”
“If you touchonehair on her head, I’ll--” he begins.
I cut him off with a punch to the stomach. His body folds on impact and his head lands on my shoulder. I speak into his ear, whispering so only he can hear me.
“Oh, I’m not just going to touch one of them, old man. I’m going to touchallof them.”
I push him back and scowl, daring him to try and fight me. I would love nothing more than to take this motherfucker out.
“Cohen, take this worthless fuck out the back door of the club like the trash he is.”
Cohen walks forward and unlocks the chain from the wall, leaving the cuff around Mauro’s wrist. He tugs on the chain, walking him out of the dungeon and I am left alone with Reggie.
I turn and look at him. He's just as pathetic as Mauro. I close my eyes and shake my head. I’m exhausted, and I don’t have the energy to draw this out.
“I don’t have time or patience to enact my revenge on you the way that I would have liked.”
He screams out, begging for someone to come help him, as I pin him down and encircle his neck with my arms.
“There’s no one left to hear you scream,” I whisper sinisterly.
I squeeze him with all of my strength and firmly twist my arm, quickly snapping his neck and killing him instantly.

ROSABELLE
“Here you are,”the blonde man who escorted me out of the dungeon waves his hand into the cell in front of us.
I want to ask him if he’s joking or if I amactuallyto be relegated to living in a cell while I’m here. But the fact that none of what has happened tonight makes any sense keeps me from opening my mouth.
