Page 6 of Bound in Sacrifice

What Mayhew found in my books last night has rocked me to my core. I thought I had an issue when Mauro interrupted that scene, but that's nothing compared to what my real problem is.

I knew that Reggie would be in today, so I opted not to call him in last night and cause him to panic. I’ve been waiting rather impatiently for him to arrive. The second that I see him walk through the doors, everything in me wants to punch his fucking face in. Thank God Luca and Cohen are next to me when he approaches, otherwise, I would do just that.

“Hey guys, how’s it going?”

I nod and grunt in response.

“You haven’t seen Mauro around yet, have you? His daughter has been blowing up my phone all day. She said that he never came home last night.”

Mauro has a daughter? I picture him in a dress, and my face contorts in disgust.

“Haven’t seen him since last night,” I say.

At least that’s the truth.

“Okay, thanks,” he answers.

I let Reggie get settled into his normal routine and I try to go about my day, business as usual.

Around 11:30 that evening, I call the reception area. One of the house slaves answers and I ask her to find Reggie and send him to my office.

I have Luca and Cohen waiting for him in Le Couloir. They’ll escort him to the dungeon where I’ll be handling my questioning.

Thirty minutes later,I am on my way to one of my private dungeons to meet Luca, Cohen, Mauro, and Reggie. This particular dungeon is situated one level down from La Tour. None of the members and hardly any of my staff know that it exists. Luca and Cohen do because, through all of the shit that’s happened, they’ve always been there for me. After everything went down with Viv, they were the ones who helped me pick up the pieces.

They’re both Doms here and they each specialize in their own type of kink. Luca prefers wax play. The way he paints his partners with it is pure art. He’s meticulous and knows exactly where to drip the hot liquid to increase sensation. Cohen, on the other hand, he loves his machines. He has distinct originality about him. I don’t know anyone else who can pull off the steampunk look as well as he does, but his signature top hat and monocle look sure does entice the ladies.

When they aren’t engaging in a scene with their own subs, they’re in charge of the Moniteurs de Dungeon, in addition to guiding other Doms and subs through our instructional program.

When I reach the dungeon, I see Luca has already brought Mauro in and cuffed him to a chain attached to the far wall. He’s sitting on the ground looking bored. He’s despicable. He doesn’t even look concerned for hisfriendacross the room. Cohen mentioned a struggle, which would explain the swelling around Reggie’s left eye and the blood pouring from his nose.

I walk over to Reggie and look down where he’s sitting, chained to a wall on the opposite side of the room from Mauro. I squat down on my haunches and force him to look me in the eye.

“Reggie, I saw some very disappointing transactions when I was looking through our books, earlier. Itappearsas though you’ve been letting Mr. de Villeneuve partake in our club’s activities for free. When I noticed that I did some more digging. Do you know what I found?”

He looks at me but doesn’t say anything.

“Do you have anything to say to me?”

Nothing.

“So, you can lie to me, cheat me out of my money, but you don’t have the balls to tell me why.”

“I--it’s not what it looks like.”

I stand and try to reign in my temper, but I can’t. His lie infuriates me. How can it be anything other than what it looks like? I pick up my foot and swing my leg forward with as much power as I have, kicking him in his stomach. He grunts with pain and it only spurs me on more. I manage to get in two more kicks before I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn my head in the direction that the hand came from and meet Luca’s eyes. He’s telling me to stop. To not make another mistake like I did as a result of losing Viv.

I turn my attention back to Reggie, who is laying in a heap on the stone floor of the dungeon, and then force myself to move away from him.

“Mauro, I spent last night adding up every last dime that you owe me. I suggest you think of the fastest way to get me my money or else the only way you’re going to leave this dungeon is in a wooden box.”

“It’s not my fault that he never charged me for anything! You should be making him pay you the missing money.”

“Oh, don’t you worry about your pal Reggie over there, he’s going to get what’s coming to him.”

“I--I don’t have a dime to my name, there’s no way I’ll be able to pay you the money.”
