Her lips part as she tries to speak, but she’s unable to get the words out.

“Don’t be embarrassed,” I reassure her.

She takes a deep breath.

“Yes, I want to touch myself, but I don’t want to touch myself in front of you,” she says. “Yet, but possibly one day. Sir.”

She is fighting with herself to keep from looking away from me after letting such an intimate part of her show.

“I’m so proud of you, Rosabelle. Thank you for telling me that.”

She flashes the smallest sliver of a genuine smile and I’m taking it as a huge win. It’s the first time I’ve seen her without a worried expression or scared scowl on her face.

“I’m not going to make you touch yourself in front of me and I am not going to touch you until you’re ready, but there is a third option that I think you’ll go for.”

She appraises me with skepticism before finally responding.

“Am I allowed to know what it is or am I going in blind?”

“Go into this blindly, and trust that I’ll catch you when you fall.”

Chapter Thirteen

Rosabelle

Iswallow my nerves like I’ve done nearly every moment of this provocative and exhausting day so far, and its only just past noon.

“I’m not sure about anything, anymore. I don’t even know who I am, right now. All I know is that I am tired of making the wrong decisions. Tomorrow, I may feel differently about my choices being taken away from me. But today, the erotic feeling that is swirling around inside of me, wreaking havoc on my body is my driving force. Outside of that, I don’t have enough energy to care about anything else.”

Who is this person inside of my head making me speak these terrifying words?I feel like I am having an out of body experience and I don’t know whether or not I should fight my way back in, or pop some popcorn and see how this all plays out.

I look at The Beast who seems to be desperately trying to prove to me that he is more than what his nickname implies.

“You’ll hold your feelings in higher regard by the time I’m finished with you. You’ll see exactly how exhilarating it is to leave your fate in the hands of the person entrusted with your care.”

His promise comes across as a threat, yet it stokes the fire that is still burning bright within me.

“Yes, Sir.”

“Walk to the door and wait for me. I need to go talk to Master Luca for a second and I’ll be right there.”

I stand in response to his instruction and my conscience screams at me to wake up and realize what is happening. But I’ve already checked out of reality for the day. At some point between the time that I woke up this morning and now, I managed to lose my Goddamn mind.

The Beast leadsme through La Tour and down into the dungeons where I stayed last night. Returning to the place where I woke up this morning makes me shiver, but The Beast assured me that this time my stay would be much more enjoyable than the last.

When we stop walking, we’re in the middle of a stone corridor underneath La Tour. I stare at him questioningly, when he places an old, gold skeleton key into a random hole in the middle of the stone wall.

I begin to think that he might be crazy when I hear a loud click as the lock disengages and the hidden door swings open, letting us into a secret, darkened room. Fear begins to overpower me and I find myself moving closer to his side for protection.

What if he is the one that I need protecting from?

“I’m going to have you sit… here,” he says, placing his hands on my hips and directing me to sit on a stone chair across the room from where we just entered.

“Stay put, I’ll be right back.”

“Wait! No!”
