I’d only known this man for a few weeks and already I’d fallen hard for him.
I was fading fast into a beautiful darkness, disappearing into a blinding climax.
My thoughts dissipated as the pleasure surged.
Out of the blissful dark, I heard Shay speak my name.
“Rue.”
I felt the sensation of a strong arm around my waist.
“Rue?”
My hands were freed from the cuffs. I was lifted and then lowered onto the tile floor, being held in his arms.
I awakened to see his beautiful face.
“You okay?” he asked.
Raising my head, I looked around, recalling where we were.
“How do you feel?”
“I don’t think I’ve ever come that hard,” I said, breathless.
He chuckled and then his expression turned serious. “You should have told me you’re not into edging.”
“I’m into coming.”
He grinned, bowing closer and planting a kiss on my nose.
Shay’s stomach grumbled.
He shook his head. “I forget about food when I’m around you.”
“Oh.”
“I mean, when I’m in here I…” He pushed to his feet and helped me to mine. “Let’s continue.”
I stood beside him and folded my arms. “It’s hard to focus with your stomach making noises.”
Shay looked affronted. “Don’t break protocol.”
“I’m not going to continue one more second until I’ve seen you eat something.”
“I’m fine.
“You’re neglecting yourself. Let me look out for you, too.”
“Don’t.”
“Don’t what?”
“Be this…” He swept his hand through the air.
“Cadence,” I said my safe word with panache.
Strolling over to a rack in the corner, I threw a towel to him and grabbed one for myself.
