“Don’t leave,” I said, feeling breathless.

“My last order is this: Don’t disappoint them.” He leaned by me to turn the handle and open the door. “In you go.”

Last order?

Was this him letting me go? Sending me away?

Stepping inside the dimly lit room, I saw a four-poster bed.

The door closed behind me.

When I turned back, Sir was gone.

I faced the four men who were waiting for me.

I knew what this was.

The four men in tuxedos looked suave and relaxed.

Kaison Faulkner was talking with Master Sinclair and Master Grantchester, all three of them sharing a glass of what looked like bourbon.

A little ways back from them, De Sade sat in a high-backed leather chair. He patted his knee, indicating I should sit on his lap.

All I could think of was belonging to Sir.

I didn’t want anyone else to touch me. Not De Sade. Or Kaison Faulkner. Or Doms Sinclair or Grantchester. Not even with my Dom present.

This felt like I was betraying him.

I gripped the doorknob, trying to find the courage to leave.

Kaison strolled toward me.

All I’d wanted was this—I’d even defined this as the ultimate fantasy in my file. Yet now, as the reality sunk in, I felt different.

Because of Shay.

Faulkner curled his fingers against my cheek. “Take off your clothes.”

My throat tightened, panic surging.

“You’ve been very naughty,” he said.

Adrenaline surged in my veins.

“It’s okay,” said a reassuring voice from across the way.

It was De Sade.

Kaison flicked one of my wings. “You would never have survived Pendulum.”

Nodding furiously, agreeing, I refused to look at him.

He stroked my hair. “You were my favorite.”

“I belong to Master Gardner,” I said.

I tried to remember my safe word, and couldn’t.
