I turned to face him. “Having a nice evening?”

“Insightful.”

I leaned on the bar, throwing a glance toward one of the male guests getting blown as he observed the ménage à trois unfolding on the table. “So much to enjoy.”

The older man’s eyes were hooded, and he appeared to be close to coming. We weren’t the only ones who’d noticed. He’d drawn his own audience, too. The submissive lapping at his balls was making a show of their display of affection.

“Your thing?” Atticus’ voice was husky.

“Which scene?” I took another sip of Bellini.

Atticus was right. Champagne would have tasted better.

“Do you prefer the scene on the table or the sub blowing a guest?” I quipped.

“The only intriguing element in this room is you.”

“Does that usually work?”

He turned to face me. “Are you going to tell me who you are? From the reactions of those around us you’re quite special.”

“I’m rather enjoying the anonymity.”

“You take pleasure in men falling at your feet?”

That made me smile. “You strike me as someone who likes a challenge, Atticus.” I winked as I said it. “Your mom has a thing for literature?”

“To Kill a Mockingbird?” He crunched a slither of ice. “Maybe?”

“You didn’t ask her?”

“Never came up.” His gaze met mine. “Are you a fan of good books?”

“Of course.”

“What are you reading?”

I arched a brow seductively. “Trying to analyze me?”

“Already have.”

“I doubt you’re right about me.”

“Let’s just say the pleasure’s all mine.”

I suppressed a smirk at his smoothness. “What are you currently reading then?”

His lips twitched. “I’m enjoyingThis is How Your Marriage Ends, by Matthew Fray.”

I burst into laughter, then pressed my hand to my mouth, concerned we’d drawn attention.

Atticus looked amused. “What else do you enjoy?”

“It’s far more fun to discover those kinds of things over time.”

“I accept the invitation.”

“Goodness, no, that was merely a cock tease. I’d like to see you beg first.”
