Fight him with everything I had.

He’d probably like that, came the stark realization. It would give him the excuse to use force. He’d want to impress his audience, and God knows what his vision was for doing that.

The others would simply watch and take what they wanted from their perverted game.

“What happened to consent?” I yelled over to Aemon.

“Safe word?” asked Lance sarcastically.

Beneath his charm lay a manipulative nature. A man who knew how to get what he wanted. A man who threw money at his desires and was rumored to never abide by the wordno.

“If you touch me, you’ll regret it,” I whispered.

He smirked, a threat that whatever followed would be his way of marking his authority.

“What did you offer him?” I asked bitterly.

“Other way around.”

“Are you going to tell me?”

“On your knees.”

“I asked you a question,” I bit out. “Did he dissuade you from trying to own this place?”

“Apparently, he doesn’t tell you everything,” he said.

“I refuse,” I said, raising my chin. “Touch me and I’ll report it outside these walls.”

“She’s feisty today,” Aemon called over.

Lance narrowed his gaze. “That sharp tongue of yours will be pierced by the end of this.”

“I will not be part of this,” I called over to Aemon.

“Then say a name,” chided Aemon. “We’ll bring in the sub of your choice. You can forfeit this session to her.”

I glared at him.

Aemon yelled. “Begin then!”

“Any last requests?” asked Lance.

“I’ll get you access to the sixth floor.” I hoped that would persuade him. “If you think the other floors are impressive, wait until you mingle with our guests up there. Think Rothschild Ball. We are the only club in the world to offer that level. I can get you in.”

He looked thoughtful. “Clearly your husband believes you need this session.”

“Whatever you want.” I’d say anything at this point.

“I don’t need you for that.”

“The sixth floor surpasses anything you’ve imagined.”

“Thank you for confirming its existence.”

“There are consequences if you go up there without an invite. Which is why you need me.”

“Yeah, that kind of myth might work on someone else. No one’s getting murdered at Pendulum.”
