“Good to see you, too,” she said.
God,this girl was annoying, always turning up at the most inconvenient times.
Still, it was because of her I’d discovered the secret elevator.
I went with, “Glad you’re okay.”
“Can I ask you something?” She closed the space between us. “Was that the sixth floor we ended up on?”
“Jake didn’t invite you here.”
“Did you see anyone else there?”
Jesus,this girl was relentless.
“Forget you saw anything.” I turned to go.
“Why?”
“Having fun stalking people?”
“I’m looking for Jake.”
“I don’t trust you, Stella.” I moved away from her. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“What has Jake told you?”
This girl was insufferable. And right now, it appeared she was stalking him. I’d have to deliver the news she was here. Unless he already knew.
“You’re not his sub,” I reminded her. “You need to get that into your pretty head.”
“Rylee told me I’m his type.”
Seriously? Why would Rylee even talk with her? “When?”
“On the way in.”
If Jake didn’t do the deed to scare her off, I’d do it myself. “Jake and Rylee are out of your league,” I said. “Anyway, Jake’s a masochist who loves to dabble in sadism. Something tells me you’re not into any of that.”
Her eyes widened in horror.
That should put this newbie off a senior Dom. He was out of her league and the sooner she realized that the better. “You didn’t know.”
She swallowed hard. “He told me, but—”
“You have no idea what level he’s on. We’re talking exalted grade torture.”
She blushed wildly. “We’ve not tried it.”
“Of course not. And you never will.”
“You’re not much of a friend to him.”
“Why do you say that?”
“You should want the best for him.”
I scoffed that she thought it was her.
