I nodded my head yes and offered him a big smile as I kept my eyes locked in with his.

“Mmhmm, it feels so much like home and I?—”

“Octavio?” A voice that I became familiar with sounded off from behind.

“Yani has a fuckin’ key?” I gritted lowly, not ready to turn around and look at her dumb ass.

I looked over at Octavio, his eyes were focused on Yani. Since he decided to disrespect me by acknowledging Yani in front of me, I turned on the stool and faced her with a smile.

“Well, if it isn’t Mrs. Lowercase-hair.” I squinted at her.

Sure, she rocked the hell out of her new short haircut. She wasn’t me, that was plain and simple. It didn’t matter if the bitch gained weight, and dyed her hair red like mines, she would never fucking be me! However, Yani had sex appeal. She was thick in all of the right places and was beautiful. I could see why Octavio messed with her more than other girls. From what I observed, he liked them ghetto, classless, and aggressive.

“Rylie Rose?—”

I held my hand up to stop Octavio from trying to stop me from digging into this bitch’s ass elegantly in front of him. I stood and took a step toward her. Yani frowned her face up but stood her ground by not backing up as I stepped to her.

“I thought you and I had a talk.” I cracked my knuckles in front of my chest.

Yani’s eyes widened. I could smell her fear, but she tried to save face in front of my man.

“We—”

“I asked her to come before you invited yourself over in the middle of the night. Rylie, please go put some clothes on and respect my guest,” Octavio’s voice deepened.

I bit into my inner cheek until I tasted blood, then turned on the balls of my feet to face Octavio.

“Rylie Rose… Say my name right, Octavio,” I reminded him.

“Rylie Rose…” He cleared his throat as his eyes darkened.

“Go put on some clothes, please,” he stated with anger evident in his tone of voice.

I giggled and nodded my head slowly, I almost forgot that Yani was here for a second. Octavio was upset, but he didn’t tell me to get dressed and leave. That was a good sign, so I decided to challenge him once more before I obeyed his request.

“Okay, my love… I’ll go shower, get dressed and wait for you in our bedroom. Don’t make me wait too long. I’d hate to get upset and act the fuck out.” I winked at him.

I walked back toward the island, enjoying the silence that came from both of them. I took my time cutting a piece of steak then stabbed it into my eggs. I took a couple of bites then downed the rest of my orange juice. Next, I picked up my napkin and wiped at the corners of my mouth. I decided to test his patience more by picking up my fork again but was stopped by him stepping around the island.

“Rylie Rose.” His voice elevated.

My pussy clenched then throbbed.I’m going to fuck the shit out of him when this bitch leaves.I thought with a smirk on my face.

“I’ll be upstairs waiting, my love.” I turned to eye him seriously before walking past Yani and out of the kitchen space.

Chapter16

Monster

The smell of roast chicken hit me before I pushed the door all the way open. Rosemary, garlic, something sweet like apples or honey. It was the kind of fake warmth that I loved to disrupt when a muthafucka had me or my wife fucked up. The lock was a joke, it took me less than two seconds and I was in.

I stepped through the threshold calmly then shut the door behind me softly. There was no need for me to come up in these folks home theatrically when Natavi’s mother would produce that once she laid eyes on me. I was just in time for dinner. Now I see who Natavi got her good cooking from.

Their dining room was straight ahead, it was dimly lit by the old crystal chandelier that was holding on by a thread of hope. I saw them before they seen me. Natavi’s mother, Pauline’s hair was elegantly styled in a low neat bun; her silver hair displayed the old wisdom she should’ve had when it came to her only daughter. Her father Robert Calvin sat with a stiff posture; my boots creaked against their worn floor board which caused them to look up.

The moment of them realizing who had joined them for dinner caused them to freeze. I offered a knowing smile, the type of smile that they would always remember in their fuckin’ nightmares. It didn’t take long for Pauline to start her theatrics.

“Oh, my Lord!” She gasped then shuttered.
