“Maybe it’s tolerable.”

I grinned while I added a chunk of cotton candy to my mouth. He licked his lips and I knew that if we didn’t find some sort of activity, I’d drag him back to the dorm for the rest of the night.

This was a date. I wanted to actually finish it.

It may have been a mistake to tell him to wear my jersey with his mask. I felt a little obsessive with how often I looked at him in it. There was an image in my mind of him watching me at a game while wearing my number. It made something flutter in my stomach, especially when I imagined him dressed in only the jersey afterward.

Even though I was exercising a lot of restraint, I was still a nineteen-year-old man with a libido to match. Me and Sen kissed more often since I gave him head a week ago and I’d done it a couple more times. I just found myself unable to keep my hands off of him any time we were somewhere that it was allowed. And right now, all I wanted was to get back to one of our rooms and put my hands all over him.

“Stop looking at me like that,” he mumbled.

“Like what, baby?”

His fingers threaded through mine before he led me down an aisle. “Like you’re undressing me with your eyes.”

“I kind of was.”

“You could just do it in real life.”

“Oh, is that an option?”

“Maybe.”

There was a lingering smile on my lips as he led us into a haunted house. Some screams carried from further inside, which always made me laugh.

“I used to drag West into these every year,” I said. “He’d scream just like that.”

“He gets freaked out?”

“He hates jump scares. I have to make sure he doesn’t accidentally hit anyone, but it’s so funny.”

“Okay, we’re bringing him next year,” he laughed.

I glanced at him inconspicuously, noting the way he rolled his lips like he did when he was uncomfortable. If I told him it was adorable that he’d said that, he’d bolt for sure.

Releasing his hand, I put an arm over his shoulder and pulled him against my side. As we walked, I made circles on his arm with my index finger. It didn’t take long for him to relax into me.

We approached one of the inflatable tunnels that squeezed you on both sides. I didn’t know why, but they were one of my favorite parts and I was glad this one had it.

“Don’t get stuck,” I teased before I let him go and headed through. The pressure around me got more intense in the middle, then eased off when I saw the other side. Once I was through, I turned around to wait for Sen.

After a moment, my brow tightened. It was too dark to see much, so I couldn’t tell if he was close or not. I suddenly worried that he was claustrophobic or something. If he hadn’t expected that part, he might be freaking out.

“Sen,” I called.

Finally, his head appeared. I let out a breath and had to resist the urge to pull him into me. He wasn’t in any danger, but I’d been imagining the worst.

“What happened?” I demanded.

“I was giving myself a pep talk.”

“For?”

The corner of his mouth pulled into a smirk that looked devilish with his mask on. “I want to try something. And since you love haunted houses…”

Putting a hand on my chest, he pushed me back. There was a black curtain that covered the machine for the inflatable. He tucked us behind it as much as he could, then dropped his lips to my neck. My eyes closed as he dragged his teeth across my skin.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.
