Again, I nod. It might not be normal to love two people at once. But without either of them I wouldn’t feel complete.

“And they’re taking care of you? You’re safe?”

Tilting my head to the side, I give her a reassuring smile. Ryker might be difficult and likes to cut me while ripping my ass apart. But I wouldn’t have him any other way. Jace is the one that broke through that steel wall around my heart. Without him, I would still be a shell of a person.

“Then go, let your father clean up the mess he made. Go be happy and live,” Mom says, tears filling her eyes once more. She shakes her head, swallowing hard. “I’m serious. Be happy, Blake. You deserve it.”

Taking a shaky breath, I kiss Mom’s cheek, squeezing her arm. “Go,” she whispers.

Nodding my head, I take off, ignoring the guards’ glances as I take the stairs two at a time. Twisting the doorknob, I race inside, finding Jace and Ryker slowly waking up. The moment they hear the door, their eyes snap open finding me standing there. They open their mouths to say something when I shake my head. Jumping on the mattress, I bite my lip, grabbing their chins to look at me.

“I love you both,” I whisper.

“I love you.” Jace leans into my touch.

“I’m obsessed with you,” Ryker growls.

Taking a deep breath, all the pain I’ve ever felt seems to be lifted off my chest. “Let’s go home.”

Epilogue

One Year Later

Miguel hangs his head, pretending to sleep as he hangs from the meat hook by his hands. He’s the last one of the cartel members that hurt my girl. After we left her parents last year, Blake broke down the first night we got back to our house in North Dakota. Telling us every single cut the cartel made, every burn mark they gave her. The next morning before Blake woke up, Jace and I got in contact with Walker asking for his best and finest men that could hunt down every cartel member that was left.

It took a week for the first one to appear at our warehouse in North Dakota, and after that we slowly made our way through the list. Jace and I took turns, until the last one, Miguel.

Blake told us he was the worst, besides Henry. If I could bring that fucker back just to kill him again, I would.

So, I was just going to have to deal with Miguel and have him be the punching bag for Henry.

The side door opens, and Jace steps through holding a duffle bag. I smile under my mask, giddy to get my hands on the little toy he brought.

“You already get started?” Jace asks, setting the duffle bag on the steel table.

“Not much.”

“Fuck, you couldn’t have waited another ten minutes?”

“Sixteen, but who was counting,” I mutter under my breath.

Jace glares over at me, opening the duffle bag. Peeking over, I can’t contain the jitters racing through my body when Jace pulls out a pair of metal tongs, acid, and my personal favorite, a blow torch.

Moving to the table, I roll out more supplies I can’t wait to use on Miguel. Pliers, a hammer, some screw drivers, a staple gun, and a hacksaw.

“You ready?” Jace asks.

I give him the “no shit” look. I’ve been ready to rip Miguel’s heart out and hand it to her on a platter since I met her.

Picking up the bucket of water, I walk over to Miguel tossing the liquid in his face.

Miguel jerks against the chains, coughing and spitting up water.

“F—fuck,” he chokes out. “Who are you?” he spits out as if he’s not the one tied up.

I flip the knife in my hand, purposely ignoring him.

He struggles against the chains, twisting his wrists, trying to plant his feet on the ground. Tossing the knife once more, I hold Miguel’s eyes.
