“You keep acting like a brat and I’m going to treat you like one.”
Jace chokes on his drink, drawing the attention of a few tables as he coughs.
“And you…” I point to Blake. “You finish that cinnamon roll without eating something else and I’m going across the street, and buying a remote vibrator that you will wear for the rest of the drive.”
Blake raises her brow, challenging me.
Bring it on.

“I’ll be back, I’m going to use the restroom,” Ryker announces getting up from the booth. I take the last bite of my food before pushing the plate away.
“Was it good?” Jace asks, resting his hand on my thigh.
Nodding, I reach across for his water, gulping most of it down.
“Are you mad at me?” he blurts out.
I freeze, setting the water down. Why would he think I’m mad at him? Sure, I’m not happy about going to help Luna, but I know she means something to Jace. Even if it’s not romantic, I know they’re friends and because Jace is important to me, I guess I have to behave. Even if I don’t want to.
I shift around so I’m sitting sideways facing him, grabbing his hand. A deep frown pulls at my brows, hating that he thinks I’m upset with him.
“Please tell me you’re not upset, I can’t stand it,” he whispers, brushing some of my hair behind my ear. I lean into his hand, shaking my head.
“You’re not mad?” he asks again.
I shake my head again, leaning forward and closing the distance between us. My lips land on his. Jace immediately wraps an arm around my waist, practicallypulling me into his lap. My cheeks burn as I realize there’s people probably staring at us, but Jace doesn’t care. Not when his tongue brushes my lips, seeking entry.
That is until someone clears their throat. “Your check.” The waiter lays it down, glaring at us. I pull back, blushing worse than before. I don’t know what came over me.
“Come on,” he mutters. Getting out of the booth, he holds his hand out for me. Ducking my head, I take his hand, pulling him towards the restrooms. Jace follows, stopping me from entering.
“Let me check it first.”
Nodding my head, I stand in the doorway waiting while he checks each stall. Once he’s cleared it, he stops in front of me, kissing my forehead. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of them kissing me on the head.
“I’ll wait outside.”
Nodding, I wait for him to leave the restroom before I walk into one of the stalls. Doing my business, I change my tampon before flushing. Stepping out, I wasn’t expecting anyone to be in here since Jace just checked to make sure no one was, and I assumed he would be standing watch.
“Where are you going, pet?” Ryker smirks.
Blowing out a breath, I shake my head, rolling my eyes.
You scared me,I sign, moving around him. Ryker grabs the back of my hair, shoving me against the wall.
“What did I tell you about being a brat?” He growls into my ear. My eyes widen, trying to see him from the corner of my eye. He can’t be serious. “Spread your legs,” he orders.
I don’t move, I can’t. Because there is no way he’s serious. We’re in a public bathroom where anyone can walk in, and if he thinks—
SMACK.
His palm connects with my ass. Even with pants on it burns. My hands clench into fists on the wall, my eyes slamming closed.
“Open your fucking legs, pet,” he hisses, smacking my ass again. Turning me around so my back is now up against the wall, I bite my bottom lip, andI shift my feet, opening my legs. Ryker grabs the back of my pants and panties, yanking them down. My eyes pop open, confused and turned on, more than I should be. He bends his knees on the ground. I can barely believe what he’s doing, not when he pulls one of my legs out of my pants and over his shoulder. Reaching between my legs, he grabs the white string and pulls my tampon out. Pulling his mask up over his head, I hold my breath, confused until he pops my bloody tampon into his mouth.
He groans around it, while my eyes widen, caught between being turned on and disgusted. What the hell is wrong with him?
