I smiled.

I wasn’t shy, but I was reserved.

There was just something about Ryleigh that made me feel relaxed. And I was glad I wasn’t the only girl at our table.

We stood, but before I could take another step, Dominic grabbed me by the waist and pulled me into his lap.

I wiggled, trying to get away, blushing slightly when I found Kai watching us curiously.

Oh, God.

I elbowed Dominic in the ribs. Not that it seemed to affect him. The man was made of stone.

His lips grazed the tip of my ear, and I tried not to show how badly that affected me.

“Where are you going?” he asked, his voice low and rough.

“To the bar. Or would you like to pee on me first? You know, get your scent on me.”

His shoulders shook as he laughed.

Bastard.

“That won’t be necessary. Every stupid bastard with a dick within a mile radius knows I own you. I made sure of that.”

It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him how, but I decided against it at the last minute. It didn’t matter. The possessive bastard was serious.

I climbed off his lap, looking over at him as Ryleigh stood, a smile on her face.

Dominic just winked at me, and I felt that wink all the way down to my clit.

I swallowed and looked away from him.

We walked to the bar, and a couple of men left their seats immediately. I supposed there were perks to dating the president.

We sat, and the bartender—an attractive brunette with two full sleeves of tattoos—came to serve us.

Ryleigh ordered a lemonade, and I ordered a dirty martini.

Ryleigh stared at me.

I smiled a little. “I can hear you thinking.”

She looked down, blushing a little. I had her pegged to be a year or two younger than me.

“Sorry.”

“It’s okay. You can ask me if you want.”

“How did you and Dominic meet?”

“Roman didn’t tell you?” I asked. She shook her head. “I saved Braxton from these men chasing him, and then Dominic abducted me. He’s been keeping me locked in his house since.”

She blinked at me as if trying to assess if I was being serious.

Then she threw her head back and laughed. “I believe you. Roman stalked me at the beginning of our relationship if it makes you feel better. The bastard even installed cameras in my apartment without my knowledge.”

There was a fondness in her voice as she spoke of it.
