Luckily, she didn’t cry all that much.

I rode my bike to the bar after dressing her up in a cute yellow sundress, sans bra and panties, with a promise that if she put on a bra or panties after I left, she would get one hell of a spanking when I got home.

I might do that anyway, even if she was obedient.

I owed her for trying to leave when I took her to the bar. I hadn’t forgotten.

I hopped off my bike and shifted on my feet, trying to talk down the fucking hard-on from the image of her over my lap, bare ass, and wet pussy.

Fuck, that thought would be enough to distract me the entire day.

The bar was just getting ready to open. There weren’t many patrons around—just the same drunks who liked to come here all day—but that wasn’t unusual.

No, what was different was a fucking black Mercedes Benz parked at the far left corner.

The car drew my attention simply because it wasn’t the kind of car I expected to see in my bar. Most of the people who came here were dirt poor, trying to drown their sadness and their awareness of the shit hand they were dealt in life.

But this car screamed money, and I was already on alert.

A honk from my right diverted my attention, and I watched as Kai stepped out of his car, his laptop under his arm. He assessed his surroundings like I taught him, and my lips formed a proud smirk when he saw the black car and frowned.

Good boy.

I wouldn’t have let my boy join the club if I didn’t think he had the grit to survive it.

No one expected to live longer than their kids, and that was the way I wanted it. Ruling one of this country’s biggest one percent MC clubs guaranteed there would be people gunning for my head.

Should I fucking leave this Earth, I would do so with a fucking smile on my face, knowing Kai would take care of my club.

He walked up to me and looked at the car, a question in his eyes.

I subtly nodded, signaling for him to be on alert as we walked through the doors.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as we walked in, and I didn’t see any men who didn’t belong loitering about.

Either they were hiding from me, or…

I looked at my closed office door.

They were there.

How fucking brave of those fuckers.

I nodded to the door, and Kai silently followed me.

My gun was tucked in the waistband of my jeans behind me, but I didn’t pull it out. Not yet.

I tried the doorknob, which turned easily, leading me inside the dark room.

Right away, I was aware we weren’t alone, and sure enough, when I flipped on the light switch, I saw four men.

One fucker was sitting behind my desk, casually leaning back.

He had a smile on his arrogant face.

I’ve killed men for being in here. They wanted to risk that?

I looked at each of them as Kai closed the door behind him.
