I had not been paying attention, but the movie was clearly nearing the end because there were tears in Emmy’s eyes as she watched the man in the movie chase the woman and beg her to stay with him.

I scoffed at that.

She turned to me. “What?”

“Why the hell would that spineless dick beg? I know what I would do if I were him.”

“Yeah, me too,” she deadpanned. “You’d abduct the girl and make her delirious with orgasms until she submits.”

“Dominic, Braxton is home.”

“Yes. And Roman is on his way over with Ryleigh.”
