Kai hadn’t returned since he left a half an hour ago, and after questioning me about my entire life, Dominic, Micah, and Roman were pulled away for something.
It was only Blue and me left. And I was feeling light.
Perhaps I should drink beer more often.
I turned to Blue and smiled widely.
He took one look at me and laughed. “You’re on your way to being drunk, aren’t you? I think it’s time I cut you off.”
I pouted. “Boo. You are a party pooper.”
“Yeah? You won’t think that when you wake up tomorrow morning with a massive hangover. You’ll be thanking me. I expect you to cook something for me.”
I frowned. “I was gonna cook, anyway. I love you, but you are a terrible cook.”
He shook his head, smiling. “I agree. Thank you for feeding me.”
“I will always make sure you have something to eat,” I said, and meant it. I’d experienced what it was like to starve. To be so hungry, your stomach hurts. And I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.
He tucked a strand of my long hair away from my face. “Yeah, I know that.”
I wondered if Kai was eating right. If he was with me, I would make sure he was.
But this was probably the alcohol talking. I wasn’t Kai’s type.
Because despite my assessment of him being a lonely prince, several women had hit on him since he decided to stay at the bar.
He didn’t leave when Dominic left with Micah and Roman, though Dominic said something to him before he left.
Kai stayed where he was, watching me and turning down all those women.
And I didn’t know why.
Those women gave me the impression they knew what they were doing.
Unlike me.
“Blue?” I asked quietly.
“Yeah?” he answered, taking a sip of his beer.
“How do you seduce someone?”
I moved back a little when he spit some of the beer out. Droplets of it hit my arm. I wiped it away and looked at him expectantly.
“Why would you ask me that?”
“Because I don’t know how, and you’ve been with a ton of women!”
“I wouldn’t say a ton,” he said drily.
I held out my fingers and started counting. “Mary, Alice, Emily, Kiera, Charlotte, Saoirse, Malia—”
“Okay, okay,” he said, grabbing my hand and pressing it down on my lap.
I frowned up at him. “And those are only the ones I know about.”
He shook his head. “Why do you want to learn how to seduce someone? Is there someone you’re interested in?”
