“A man named Lincoln Vincent.”

I nodded, letting out a small sigh of relief.

I vaguely remember Micah mentioning the name when he was talking to Roman on the phone.

He watched me carefully.

“Micah?”

He cocked his head to the side.

“You’re going to come back to me, right?”

He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. When he let me go, his eyes were alight, set in determination.

“Always.”

The Basement lookeddifferent in the spectators’ seats instead of working behind the bar as free labor.

For one thing, the view was much clearer there.

My fists clenched in tight balls as I watched a man get pounded on, blood spurting out of his face.

His opponent grinned sadistically as he did an upper right hook, and the other man went down.

The crowd went absolutely insane.

“You all right, girl?”

I was startled and turned to the rough-looking man beside me.

Never in a million did I think I would be so close to Dominic Madden, but there I was, and he was there, not only to watch Micah fight but as my protection.

I nodded.

“If it’s too much, we can wait in the car until it’s time for Micah to fight?”

I shot him a small smile and shook my head.

Dominic was a very good-looking man with buzzed-cut brown hair, a wide frame, and a cocky smile. While Micah was cold and Roman was calculating, Dominic was like an explosive.

A small subtle hum just before he destroyed everything and everyone in his path.

I could see how this man had led the charge and brought the King’s Men MC to what it was today.

And he was so unapologetic in everything he did and said.

I envied his confidence.

His power.

Just one look at the man and you’d know he exuded power to the very core of his being, and everyone around us knew that too.

There was no one sitting close to us within several feet. And the place was packed, everyone coming out when they heard Micah was taking part in ato-the-deathmatch.
