I closed my eyes.
Fucking hell, I didn’t know what I was going to do. Break the world… break myself.
Whichever came first.
I didn’t even fucking feel this much when I watched my own mother being killed.
I—
This was too fucking much.
Too much despair.
Too much hurt.
Too much brokenness.
Too much…human.
I raised my fist up and pounded down on Roman’s back.
He held on tighter.
I hit him harder.
It took three tries before he let me go.
I moved to the door, and Roman gave chase.
He tackled me at the threshold.
Fucking hell.
I pushed him beneath me and punched him in the face.
Blood sputtered out from his nose, and I was about to do it a second time—just hard enough to knock him out—when footsteps sounded out in my ears.
I stopped and looked up to see Dominic and Kai, both watching us with varying degrees of disbelief on their faces.
“What the fuck?”
Dominic pulled me off Roman and held his arms around me.
I struggled.
He tightened his grip. “Calm down, brother. Kai found her.”
I stilled from his words. “What?”
Kai was helping Roman up before he moved to the desk that Ozzy had hidden beneath before and set his laptop down.
He turned the screen to me, and I shoved away from Dominic’s grip, looking at it.
The fucker Garrett really was going to record everything he did to her, and he was going to put the video up on the darknet.
And he was making a show of it.
He turned away when he started pulling on her shirt.
