“Bianca Hansley?”
I blinked.
He helped me stand.
I didn’t look at anyone in the waiting room as we passed them and followed the nurse.
“Hi, I’m Mary. I will be checking your vitals first, before the doctor comes in and sees you.”
I nodded.
It took her less than five minutes to check my vitals and take a brief family history. Gabriel had been standing silently behind me, and though he hadn’t spoken since we’d entered the room, I had a feeling he was paying close attention to all that I had to say.
She handed me a hospital gown. “Why don’t you change into this? I’m sure it will be more comfortable for you when the doctor comes in and does the ultrasound. I’ll give you some privacy.”
I nodded.
She smiled tightly and walked out of there.
She never looked once at Gabriel, and I wondered if it was because she was scared of him.
I turned to Gabriel, about to tell him to leave and give me some privacy, when he grabbed the gown from my hand.
“Gabriel—”
He had my dress off me before I could say another word.
I shivered because I was naked and because of the way he looked at me.
He groaned and played with my nipple for a short while before pulling away and helping me put the gown on.
“There will be no such thing as privacy between us,” he muttered, tying the strings together. The statement was so ridiculous I didn’t know what to say.
He reached into his suit jacket and pulled out a clean pair of panties.
I looked at them, then at him, my mouth gaping.
“Why… how long…” I shook my head.
“I thought it might come to this. I doubt you would want to see the doctor without any underwear on.”
I couldn’t say anything to that.
Gabriel pulled the pair of pink panties up my legs, his lips following the trail.
He pushed me down when the panties got up to my thighs, and I pushed my hips up to make it easier for him.
He pressed a kiss on my center, and I shivered, looking down to see him smiling.
The man from the car was back, now that we were alone in this room together.
Didn’t that mean he felt something for me, more than just my being his child’s mother?
He pulled away in time for a knock at the door. The doctor walked in, a woman in her mid-forties with thick black hair blended with white in a high bun.
She smiled gently at me. “You must be Bianca. My name is Dr. Rodriguez.”
I nodded, shaking her hand once before I took my hand back and reached for Gabriel.
