“That’s all right,mi corazón. She was just telling us about their sales system.” Gabriel nodded at the girl, and she procured a small gray object that looked like a pricing gun, but wasn’t.

“You can use this to scan the code of any item you wish to purchase, and we will have everything delivered to you within two to three days,” she said.

Gabriel nodded and took the gun from her.

“I will leave you folks to it, then,” she said. There was a slight hesitation to her step, almost as if she wanted to say something more but changed her mind at the last moment. I watched her walk away, but when I looked back at Gabriel, he had been watching me, not Karissa.

“What?” I asked awkwardly. I could still feel some wetness coating my thigh and pussy from when he made me come not too long ago, and the awareness that I wasn’t wearing any panties never left me.

I shifted a little on my feet and his eyes danced in mischievously.

“You are just too damn adorable for your own good, you know that?” he said.

I bit my lip, not saying anything.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be called adorable by a man who looked like Gabriel. As if I needed our difference pointed out to me.

I always knew Gabriel was out of my league, even long before that first night we slept together. I didn’t consider myself homely, but I knew what I looked like, and I knew what Gabriel looked like, and there wasn’t a league quite like his.

“Should we go?”

I nodded.

He grabbed my hand and led me around the store. I looked up to the back of his neck, and not for the first time, I found myself wondering if it weren’t for the baby we were having, would he have acted so possessive with me… soobsessive?

The thought made my stomach fall to my feet. I stumbled a little and Gabriel offered a questioning look before he wrapped his arm around me.

Shopping with Gabriel was something different altogether.

I learned quickly enough not to look at anything for too long, or even touch it, because any item I showed even the slightest interest in, Gabriel would scan the code to make the purchase.

We didn’t have to carry anything, and that saved time, but the store was huge, and by the time we made it through only half of the stuff they had on display, I was exhausted and in desperate need of the bathroom.

It didn’t help that my ankles were starting to swell.

I tugged Gabriel’s hand when it looked like he wanted to explore the other half of the store.

At this point, we’d have enough clothes and toys for two babies.

He turned to me. My heart reacted to the golden glint in his dark eyes. The sun shone through the store windows, shimmering around his huge frame and making him look like a fallen angel.

How pretty.

He shot me a small, confused smile. “Baby?”

I blinked as my bladder brought my attention away from him.

“I have to use the bathroom.”

He didn’t say anything for a moment. “Is my baby tired?”

I bit my bottom lip and looked down, ignoring the way my heart raced when he called me ‘his baby.’

“A little.”

“Fuck. Of course you are,” he said, cupping my cheek and tilting my face up until I met his gaze, his thumb gliding over my skin.

My breath caught, and a slight flush came over my body. I opened my mouth without thinking, drawing his finger into it and sucking.
