CONNOR

No one to meet, I’m afraid.

There’s a KNOCK on the door.

CONNOR

That’ll be the breakfast I ordered.

He goes to get it while Cecilia stretches in bed. He comes back, wheeling in a food cart with two plates covered in silver domes and a newspaper folded in between them.

Cecilia plucks up the newspaper while Connor places the food on a table by the window.

CECILIA

Itwasanother robbery last night! That’s what the police were there for.

CONNOR

Oh?

CECILIA

We were rightthere.

Cecilia stands and walks to Connor, looping her arms around his neck.

CECILIA

I wonder how they’re getting away with it.

CONNOR

Planning, guile, bravado.

CECILIA

You sound like you admire them.

CONNOR

I do, in a way. It’s all very cinematic, no?

CECILIA

LikeTo Catch a Thief, with Cary Grant? My dad loved that movie.

CONNOR

You’d make an excellent Grace Kelly.

CECILIA

Ha!

Cecilia releases him and then looks at the paper again.
