Then he says the words I want to hear. "You're invited."
"Good." I smirk darkly.
Then, I have a gala to attend. The only way I can get what I want. That is if Harvey will be present.

"You sent for me, sir."
Luna's words rouse me from the short nap I had drifted into after meeting Ivan. Her voice feels like feathers on my skin, a stark difference from my mood all day.
I open my eyes and shamelessly allow them to wander down her body. My mouth aches to tell her she looks beautiful, but I'm not ready to scare her off yet.
This is her first time in my office since we almost kissed, yet it feels like it's the first time she's coming to my office. I could never get used to the calm she brings to the raging storm.
Her outfit doesn't help matters, either. Before the elevator incident, she used to wear fitted clothes, but now, she's dressed in a yellow dress.
"Yes, I did," I reply, and because I'm so blunt, I decide to hit the nail on the head.
"Have you been avoiding me, Luna?" I ask.
For some reason, she seems shocked. I would ask why, but she blinks back the shock.
"I haven't," she lies. "There's just so much going on."
I rise from my seat and walk around the table, striding towards her. She doesn't shrink when I approach her. Instead, she stands tall even though she's still a head shorter than me.
"What exactly, Luna?"
"Uhm …" That's the only sign she's flustered that I'm just two feet away from her. "I …"
"Is there something you wanted to happen that didn't happen?" I ask, cutting her off.
She looks sharply at me, and her eyes darken. Not with anger but intense desire. Desire that fills me with satisfaction that I can bring that out of her.
"I don't know what you mean, sir," she says.
My hand comes up, and I brush through the rogue strands of hair framing her face.
"Are you sure about that?" I ask slowly, tucking the hair behind her ear.
She shivers, but I notice she doesn't move back; instead, she breathes deeply, and her breasts graze my chest.
"Yes, I'm sure," she replies.
"So why did you run off?" I ask. "Again?"
"I just had to go, that's why."
My fingers leave her hair and trail down her arm. Her skin is smooth, but I can feel goosebumps appearing as she sucks in a breath.
"You keep running away, Luna."
My head drops just an inch, and she tilts hers back to maintain eye contact. I don't let her speak because my thumb has reached her supple lips.
"Why?" I whisper, breathing on her lips.
A soft moan rips out of her, and her eyes widen like it came out without her permission.
