“That was amazing.” Giving Ollie a quick kiss, he used more than half his bottle of water to clean them up. Although Ollie was more graceful leaving Finn’s lap than landing in it, he still wasn’t smooth, tumbling over the center console and landing on his right side with a shout that devolved into giggling.
“I guess I can cross that off my bucket list,” he exclaimed, moving around until he sat in the seat.
“What? The double cock thing? Because that was hot.”
“You have zero shame.” Ollie poked Finn in the shoulder, his cheeks burning. “No, I meant fooling around in a car like teenagers.”
“You didn’t do that in high school?” Adjusting the rearview mirror, Finn tried to fix his hair.
“I told you, I was invisible in high school.” However, Ollie was exploring the idea that he might not have been as invisible as he thought, and maybe, like Finn, he’d been discounting some of his experiences.
“Well, we’re going to have to do a lot more bucket list stuff then. What are some of your fantasies?” Finn glanced at him, his gaze far too intense, and Ollie’s blush deepened.
“Can I think on it? Because I have to be back in twenty minutes.”
“Of course.” Finn leaned in, giving Ollie a quick peck. “And don’t worry, the clinic is only ten minutes from here.”
“I’m not worried.” Ollie meant that. Right now, he wasn’t worried. It happened infrequently and had probably been brought on by the orgasm, so he’d appreciate it while it lasted. “I trust you.”
Ollie had to blink twice because it seemed that Finn had a dusting of pink across his cheekbones. “Love you, Sunshine.”
“I love you too.” Joy surged through Ollie’s system and he thanked his past self for leaving the lookout and giving healing another shot, because he would’ve missed this feeling, this blissful, contented feeling. No matter what happened in the future, this moment couldn’t be taken away from him and Ollie would work as hard as he could to have many more of them.

FINN
“Wherearewegoing?”Ollie looked around, bright-eyed and ruddy-cheeked, perfectly matching the bouquet of sunflowers that sat in his lap.
“I told you, I am only the transporter.” Eyes on the road, Finn reached out, patting Ollie’s thigh. “And I’ve been sworn to secrecy.”
“By who?”
“Don’t you mean by whomst?” The distraction worked because Finn could hear the eyebrow raise in Ollie’s tone.
“Whomst?” he giggled, pushing at Finn’s shoulder. “Sometimes you’re a meme.”
“Which one?” Giving him a quick smile, Finn double-checked the dashboard map, making sure their turn was still coming up.
“It’s probably on my phone somewhere but…” Ollie shrugged, waving a hand at his luggage on the backseat. Finn had brought Ollie his cell, as requested, but Ollie had barely wanted to touch it and ended up stuffing the thing in one of his bags.
“You don’t have to bother with it until you’re ready. You just graduated a few minutes ago, enjoy it.”
Ollie snorted. “I didn’t graduate. It’s notschool.”
“You’ve worked hard though, overcome a lot, and I’m proud of you.” Finn patted Ollie’s leg again. He’d never forget the look of relief and pride on Ollie’s face the moment he’d signed his release papers, more than ready to take the next step, return to his life, and start a better future.
“Stahp,” Ollie grasped his arm, giving it a quick hug before Finn had to use it to make a right. “Wait, whereare we going?”
“You already know the answer to that, Sunshine.” It wasn’t much farther and Finn’s anxiety rose the closer he got.
When his phone rang a few weeks ago, the last thing he expected was a call from Ollie’s parents. Once the panic had subsided, they had a rational conversation; apparently, his daily visits hadn’t gone unnoticed. Finn had avoided stopping by when they were at the facility, giving them space to see their son without his dating history making things worse. At the time, Ollie’s treatment had been a priority and Finn had intended to sit down with them, apologize, and talk about his very serious feelings for their son once Ollie had a release date, but they’d ended up beating him to the punch.
It turned out that Ellie was indeed a strange sort of hypewoman, and considering that she liked so few people, The Clarks explained that they’d taken her opinions to heart, especially when Finn’s consistent devotion had proved her right. It made them want to include Finn in their party plans for Ollie’s release day, and he’d been given the important role of transporter, which he took very seriously, only asking if he could add a few guests.
One of his greatest worries had been his relationship with Ollie’s family, and while he’d put off thinking about it, doubts still crept through his mind at night. All of that vanished after speaking to The Clarks, replaced by relief and a tiny bit of apprehension that grew as he readied himself to meet all of Ollie’s family again, normally and not in the whirlwind of chaos.
A small green and white sign pointed to their destination and Ollie squealed delightedly, clapping his hands as Finn turned up a winding road that led to the parking lot.
