Bryan flipped me to my back. I reached up and stroked hair away from his sweaty brow as he took control and pounded into me. I was limp with no ability to counter thrust, yet all of the muscles in my core tightened and collapsed and repeated the action over and over in a hard sucking motion against his cock.

He roared as he came, pressing hard into me, releasing all of himself. He fell to the side and pulled me with him so I lay half draped over his chest.

I was exhausted. A trickle of sweat tickled my lower back. Bryan’s fingers traced circles on my shoulder. I didn’t want to move. He had made me warm, more than warm, exactly as he had promised.

I pushed up. He grabbed my hand.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

“Downstairs,” I said. “I don’t want Amelia to wake up alone.”

“She’ll think we were in the kitchen or something,” he said, his voice still thick with satiation.

“No, we should go downstairs and camp out with her, as promised. Besides, it’s cold in here.”

“Is it? I hadn’t noticed. You’ve made your point. I’m not going to argue with you about that. Downstairs we go.”

I got dressed, climbing back into his warm, comfortable sweats. It almost felt like he was still hugging me. At least, that’s what I let myself think after I returned to the den and made myself a bed out of pillows and fell asleep in front of the fire.

When I woke up, Bryan was humming one of the songs from the night before.

“Is that bacon and coffee I smell?” I asked as I sat up.

I glanced at the couch. Amelia was still blissfully asleep, completely unaware that her father and I had left her alone for a while.

“I thought I’d complete our camping experience and make breakfast,” he said.

I looked up. “The lights are on.”

“The power came back. The storm wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone expected, and the snow is already starting to melt.”

“That doesn’t seem fair. It snows in time for Christmas, and then it just melts. Kids everywhere are disappointed.” I looked back at Amelia, but maybe not her. If I could somehow be part of this family, she would get her Christmas wish and not really care about the snow.

Last night felt like a Christmas dream come true for me. With the power back on came responsibilities and reality. I was the cook, and his mother was coming over for dinner tonight.

“I should probably take a shower and get started. I’ve got a busy day today.”

“Hey.” Bryan reached out and grabbed my hand. “That can wait until after breakfast.”

He put a few slices of bacon and some scrambled eggs on a plate and handed me a mug of coffee. Everything had an extra smoky flavor to it from being cooked over the fire. It was good.

“Do you like to camp?” I asked.

“I haven’t been camping in a long time, but it’s something I used to enjoy. How about you?”

I shrugged. “I didn’t grow up camping, but if it’s anything like this, you certainly make it sound like it could be fun.”

“I was thinking I’d take Amelia out this summer. You should join us.”

“I’d like that.” I felt my cheeks burn with a blush. It was stupid to blush around him, especially after what we had done to each other’s bodies.

“Good.”

I finished my breakfast and ran away. Being around Bryan made me nervous, and it shouldn’t. I knew that man. I knew practically every inch of that man, and he certainly knew every inch of me. I sighed. Last night had been a great Christmas present, whether he planned it or not.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, I headed into the kitchen. I pulled out my phone and immediately called roadside assistance. Immediately, I was put on hold. I turned on the speaker on my phone so I could listen to the hold music while I began making preparations for dinner.

“Thank you for holding,” a cheerful voice came over my phone.
