Garrett signaled his understanding and headed for the bar. Patrick watched as he snapped his fingers at Austin who quickly straightened and walked to where Garrett stood. He watched her wince and knew instantly that she’d forgotten. Poor girl would learn eventually. Sure enough, Austin slid two beers to Garrett and followed him to their table with her head bowed.

Garrett handed him the second beer and turned to Austin. “Tell Master Patrick what you did wrong, sub.”

“I forgot what I’m supposed to call him, Sir,” she whispered. “Please don’t punish me again.”

Patrick shook his head and pointed to the floor in front of him. When she knelt the way he wanted, he grasped her chin, forcing her to look at him. “You’re lucky. My sister is playing in the dungeon so I can’t go in there and we do not allow play in the bar. You can avoid a trip over my knee by apologizing to Master Garrett. If I’m satisfied with your apology, we’ll forget it happened. If I’m not, we’ll find a private place where I can spank you again while he watches.”

Austin swallowed and bowed her head. Apologies were hard for most people. Would she rise to the challenge? With a deep breath, Austin turned her attention to Garrett.

“I’m sorry for disrespecting you, Master Garrett. I’m still learning but that’s no excuse. It won’t happen again.”

Patrick was once again awed by how hard she was trying to please him. He nodded his approval to Garrett who gently patted her on the head. “It takes some getting used to when you’ve been around us in a different role, but I can assure you we’ll help you learn. I accept your apology little one.”

Austin’s shoulders sagged and she turned her attention to Patrick again. It was apparent in her gaze that she was hoping he was satisfied. With a smile he caressed her face. “Very well done. You’re learning quickly.”
