Darci shook her head. “I don’t know, a hug, a kiss, an orgasm.”

Carrie laughed as Peter dropped onto the floor next to her. “I’m sure I could help you with all of those.”

Darci laughed. “I get the feeling Peter isn’t keen on the idea of you giving someone else an orgasm.”

Peter reached out and touched her shoulder. “I wouldn’t be so quick to make that assessment, sweetie.”

Darci blushed and buried her face in the couch.

“You heard him at the bar the other night.”

Carie liked the idea of the three of them playing together. She just didn’t know what it would do to her friendship with Darci or her blossoming relationship with Peter. If you could even call it a relationship. It wasn’t clear what he wanted other than sex. And Carrie had always been OK with that in the past, so why was she worried about it now?

She wasn’t the type to settle down and have kids and a normal life. But the idea of having someone to come home to after a long day or a long trip like her last one out of the country appealed to her. Was Peter the kind of person who could give her that?

“Are you saying you want to have a threesome with me?”

Carrie shrugged. “We’ve done it before. Sort of. And I’ve always wanted to do it right with you.”

Darci giggled. “That wasn’t even a sort of. That was more like he sat and watched and directed and it was weird.”

Peter tapped his temple. “No sitting in the corner watching. Got it.”

Carrie shoved his shoulder, and Darci sat up on the couch.

“I’m not saying no. But I am saying I don’t want this to fuck anything up for anyone.”

“There’s nothing to fuck up. Carrie is my girl. You’re Carrie’s girl. None of that changes just because we decide to have some adult fun together.”

Was she his girl? She’d never thought of herself as being anyone’s before. It sounded too submissive for her. But it didn’t bother her to hear Peter say it.

“Is sex supposed to be aftercare? I don’t know what my therapist would say about this.”

Carrie unfolded herself from the floor and sat next to Darci. “Your scene with Damion lasted all of five minutes. Don’t think of it as aftercare. Think of it as the playtime you never got.”

Darci laid her head on Carrie’s shoulder. “I love you. Have I ever mentioned that” “

Carrie pressed a kiss to her cheek. “I love you, too. But there’s no pressure here. We can all go sit in the bar and hang out, or we can lock ourselves in one of the private rooms and play, or we can sit right here and do nothing more than cuddle.

“Do you think Gage would care if we locked the door and played in here?” Darci looked around. “It’s peaceful in here. I like it.”

Peter stood and went to the door where he flipped the lock and leaned against the door. “I’m sure Gage will get over it even if he does mind.”

Then he crossed the room to Carrie and held his hand out to her. “You sure you’re OK with this?”

Carrie felt a twinge of doubt as she let him pull her to her feet. Was he more into Darci than he was her?

He scowled when she didn’t answer and took her chin in his hand. “I need complete honesty here, little one.”

“I want to do this. I’m definitely OK. I just have… insecurities.” She glanced at Darci with a pleading look, hoping her friend would help her out.

Darci knew her insecurities better than anyone.

“She’s afraid you’re going to be more into me than you are her.”

Peter dipped his head and kissed her. When he pulled away, he ran his thumb across her lips and pressed his forehead to hers. “Put your fears to rest, little one. I only want to make you happy. Darci is attractive and you care about each other. I admit to having some jealousy issues, but I’m willing to deal with them as long as I can keep you in my bed. I know we have a lot to talk about, but I’m in this with you.”

Darci stood and put a hand on Carrie’s arm. “And no offense, but you know I could never actually date someone in law enforcement. I’m totally just using him.”
