Carrie giggled. It was true, not only had Darci had some bad experiences with law enforcement, her best male friend was a police officer and too much like a brother for her to ever get involved with anyone associated with the profession. Handcuffs were a hard limit for Darci.
She let her shoulders relax and leaned in to Peter’s chest. “Thank you. Yes, I’m sure I want to do this.”
“Do we need to negotiate?”
Darci nodded. “Yes, please. It’s an important part of my experience.”
For the next ten minutes, the three talked about what they did and didn’t want out of a threesome. Carrie loved how thoughtful Peter’s questions were and she wondered how many times he’d done this before, which made her jealousy flare for a split second before she tamped it down.
Then Darci twisted a curl around her finger until it started to turn purple and Carrie scooted closer. “What is it? You’re about to cut off circulation to your finger.”
Darci “I’m not sure how to ask this without prying into your personal relationship.”
“Just ask, babe.”
“What about power dynamics?”
Carrie looked down at her shoes and shifted her weight. They hadn’t really talked about that yet.
“You know me. I’m not really all that submissive. But if you want that, I know Peter can dish it.”
Peter smirked. “How would you know?”
“Asks the man who threatened to spank me if I lied t you again?”
Peter cupped her cheek and dragged a thumb down to her chin. “And I wasn’t kidding, little one.”
The bite in his tone and the intense stare had her squirming, and she hated how wet it made her. She wasn’t submissive damn it.
He turned to Darci and put a hand on her hip, pulling her closer to him. “I’m naturally dominant in the bedroom.”
“And out of it,” Carrie muttered, earning a glare from Peter.
“I’m going to trust you to tell me if I go too far. I’m going to stop when you say stop and listen when you say no. But if you need a safe word, we can pick one as well.”
“My safe word is Game Over,” Darci said, with confidence.
Peter quirked one eyebrow up. “You’ll have to explain the significance of that to me sometime. I like it.”
Darci shrugged. “It’s simple really, even the most dedicated, twenty-four seven power exchange dynamics are a game you’re playing with each other. There are set rules, set parameters, and set expectations and when you need to step outside of those, the game is over, at least for that moment.”
Peter smiled and kissed her forehead. “You’re incredibly insightful. Carrie tells me your blog is full of good stuff. I’ll have to check it out.”
Carrie didn’t feel the expected twinge of jealousy. Instead, it warmed her heart seeing two people she cared about, sharing a moment of tenderness.
Darci reached for Carrie’s hand and pulled her closer to them. “What do you say we dispense with the chit chat and have some fun? I want to forget about everything that happened downstairs.”

PETER unbuttoned the top two buttons of his black shirt and rolled up his sleeves as Darci and Carrie stood near the couch talking in low tones about whether or not they needed to rearrange the furniture.
A threesome with Carrie, a woman he was growing more and more attached too, and Darci, a woman he knew next to nothing about but had a soft spot for, had definitely not been on his agenda for tonight. But he wasn’t going to walk away from the opportunity to fulfill a fantasy while also seeing Carrie be intimate with someone else she cared about.
Carrie stood on her tiptoes as Darci leaned down for a tender kiss and he leaned against a bookshelf to observe.
“Hey, no lurking in the corner watching, mister.”
Peter grinned and made his way to the women, putting an arm around each of them, dipping his head toward Carrie for a tender kiss while he fisted a hand in Darci’s hair. When Carrie moaned, he pulled away and turned to kiss Darci.
