He inched forward, breaching her tightness. As much as he wanted to slam into her and fuck her like the madman he was, he knew he had to let her get used to him. He was only slightly longer than the average man, but his girth scared most women. A groan bubbled in his throat as he pushed himself a little deeper. Her cunt gripped him and was still pulsing from her last orgasm.

“Fuck, little siren. I’m going to rip you in half if you don’t relax,” he bit out.

“I’m trying,” she whimpered.

He leaned up and pulled the quick release on the tie. “Rub your clit, baby. Let me in.”

Her fingers found her swollen nub, and he growled when she pulsed around him again. But he was able to slide in another inch without feeling like he was going to injure her.

“Don’t come,” he warned as he pushed the rest of the way inside.

“Please?” she begged, still rubbing her clit.

“No. If you come on my cock now, I’ll lose it before I get to fuck you. And if you’re going to be mine, you need to understand what it’s like when I fuck you. You’re going to be sore in the morning, sweet Reva.”

She pulled her hand away. Normally, he would scold her for stopping when he didn’t tell her to, but he needed her to hold back. At least for a few minutes.

“Ready?” he asked as he pulled halfway out.

“Ready,” she breathed.

There was no holding back for Noah once he thrust forward with more force than he’d first entered her with. The animalistic side of him took over, and he pounded into her until she was clawing at the bedspread and crying out his name. Hearing “Noah” on her lips made him even more mad with lust. He pinned her arms over her head and fucked her hard.

“Please, I need to come,” she screamed. He’d never pictured her screaming for him, but he fucking loved it and wanted to make her do it as often as possible.

“Don’t you fucking dare. I’m not nearly done with this cunt yet,” he growled. In truth, he was barely hanging on to his own control. But he needed her to feel every inch of him. Wanted her to know he’d been there when she went about her day tomorrow. Even if he was going to walk away after tonight, she would not forget him. Not for a day or two at least.

“Noah, I can’t. Please let me.”

The panic was back in her voice, and he knew he had to let her have what she pleaded for soon. Failure wasn’t something Reva would handle well. He would have to explore that sometime.

Correction. If he were going to stick around, he would want to explore that.

“Come,” he growled, pinning her harder and slamming into her again. The first pulse of her orgasm was all it took for him to lose the last shred of restraint he had left, and he let himself fall with her.

Noah was certain he was having an out of body experience as the pleasure washed over them both. It was as if he was watching from above, and yet he could feel every nerve ending in his body coming to life for the first time in years. And as he finally collapsed against her, and they both fought to catch their breath, he knew there was no way he could walk away from Reva Calhoun after just one night.

Chapter 10

Noah

Noahsatinhisstudy and stared at the untouched glass of whiskey in front of him. He was supposed to see Reva tonight, but doubts were plaguing him, and he wasn’t sure if he could.

She took to everything he’d shown her last night and craved more. Hell, he craved more. It took experiencing a night with Reva for him to realize just how much he’d missed this life.

But he wasn’t confident in his ability to walk away in thirty days. And he had to. If something happened to another woman he devoted his life to, he wouldn’t be able to handle it. The last one nearly broke him and he was unable to do his job well for over a year after she was gone. Before Elise, he didn’t let women get attached because he didn’t want them to. A woman attached meant a woman who was expecting him to be home at night. It meant having to worry about someone every time he went to work.

That complicated his ability to do his job. And his job kept this country safe. He wasn’t running around putting his life in danger the way Ripley—another member of Exposure—used to do. But his role was vital, nonetheless. His security clearance was only rivaled by the most senior-level government officials, and sometimes he got information before the president. Usually because he was the one bringing it to the president.

Reva called to him, and it was hard to resist. And the thing was, she didn’t even realize she was doing it. But she called to him five years ago, and it was easy to ignore because he was grieving and she was dating Parker.

The second her relationship status changed it became harder to resist. And that made him a bastard.

His phone rang, startling him out of his drifting thoughts.

“This is Jasper,” he said, without looking at who was calling.

“You call yourself Jasper?” That voice and the giggle that followed. It stirred so many feelings in him.
