“Well, you should know that Noah is on his way down here now because the apartment was empty and you weren’t answering your phone.”

“So, how did he figure out I was here?”

Q laughed “He’ll always know where you are. I’m not saying he’s got a tracker on your phone. But he has the resources to tap into the built in GPS.”

“No. He’s tracking it. I just forgot that I let him put that app on my phone.”

It was actually Gage who had done it, but she was sure he was acting on Noah’s behalf.

“I hope I didn’t cause you any trouble, Q.”

“Not me. I just don’t like worrying him. Not after what happened to Elise.”

She closed her eyes. How could she be so thoughtless?

“Thanks for telling me. I’ll go try to call him now.”

Back at the table she looked around uncomfortably. “So I hate to be that annoying person, but Noah is on his way down here. Apparently, he’s been trying to call.”

Carrie clapped a hand over her mouth. “Oh God. I’m an asshole. Sorry, honey. I tucked it in my purse when we got here, and we started having such a great time I forgot to look at it again.”

“It’s OK. I just hate that I’m ruining girls night by letting a boy into the clubhouse.”

Everyone laughed. “It’s fine. You’re among friends. We all have a husband or boyfriend who would show up without a second thought about it if they were worried.”

“Or horny,” Olivia said under her breath.

Reva laughed. “Thank God. I just don’t want to ruin these lovely new friendships I have.”

She felt him before she saw him, and Darci whistled. “Uh Oh. Looks like you might be in big trouble.”

“She might not think that’s an uh oh. We don’t know her like that,” Adara pointed out.

Reva blushed but couldn’t help but giggle. “To be honest, I’m not sure if I know me like that yet either. I’m still sorting these things out.”

“Well, you’re about to find out because he’s heading this way.”

She turned to face him and gave a sheepish wave.

“Hi.”

He pulled her in for a rough kiss. “Hi, little siren. Is there a reason you’re not answering your phone?”

“That’s kind of my fault, Noah. She was obsessively looking for a call from you, so I talked her into giving me her phone, but then I kind of forgot to check it for calls.”

“I’m glad you’re having fun, but it’s time to say goodnight.”

When she hesitated, he pulled her close and pressed his mouth to her ear.

“No hesitation, no questioning. I gave you an order. But if you want to stick around, I’m sure the girls would be very interested to hear exactly how I’m going to punish you when we get home.”

She sucked in a breath and held her hand out to Carrie for the phone. “Guess I’m going home, ladies. Thank you so much for such a fun night. I’m not sure when I’ll be free again because of my schedule, but I’d love to do it again soon.”

Everyone blew kisses and shouted goodbye as she let Noah lead her out the door and to his waiting car.

He was quiet as she got in. When he still didn’t say anything as he slid behind the wheel and started the car, she gathered the courage to say something herself.

“I’m sorry if I worried you. I should have sent a text or left a note or something.”
