She gave her the spiel, and after fifteen minutes of answering questions, Zara agreed to take part.

“I’d love to see more panels like these that include sex workers. I’m willing to fly to D.C. and lead such a panel if it would help.”

“What’s your speaker’s fee?”

“A trip to Exposure. I’ve been dying to check it out since I heard about it.”

Reva smiled. “I think that can be arranged, Ms. Blair. We’ll work out the arrangements.”

Feeling accomplished, she put phone back in the cradle and picked up her cell.

Her eyes went wide at the number of notifications she saw.

There were two missed calls. One from Gage and one from Noah.

She called Noah back first.

“What’s going on? My phone is blowing up with notifications. I’m kind of scared to look at them.”

“Good. Don’t. Just mark them all as read and stay the hell off social media for the next few days. Sweetheart, I am so sorry.”

“Noah, you’re scaring me. What happened?”

“Someone leaked a video of us cut with the video of Parker proposing.”

“What kind of video of us?”

“I kissed you in the parking lot of The Studio the other night and they caught it. We were also holding hands at dinner one night. I had no idea people were following me. I’ve had no reason to be in the news lately, so I haven’t been cautious enough.”

She blew out a breath. “This is bad, isn’t it?”

He sighed. “Bad? I’m not sure. Annoying, for sure. Do you trust I didn’t leak it?”

“Of course I do. We talked about it and you agreed not to. And if there’s footage of you and me together that wouldn’t make sense for you to do unless you’re seriously trying to fuck with your son. I don’t believe you would do that, Noah.”

“Good girl. We’re going to figure this out, OK?”

“I trust you.”

“I’ve gotta get back to work, but Gage is going to call you. Listen to him. I mean it. His orders are coming from me and disobeying them will get you the same results as disobeying me.”

“Yes, Sir,” she murmured. Making sure he heard the submission in her tone. This was serious. If she was the subject of a viral video, she was going to be in danger. Especially because the other people in the video were prominent.

“Try not to stress about this. I’ll see you tonight.”

The call went dead, and she stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before she called Gage back.

“Darlin’ you got yourself into quite a mess, didn’t you?” He drawled.

She chuckled. “Something like that. I’m being told to obey you as if you’re Noah. So what’s going on?”

He laughed. “Don’t worry. I have no intention of taking advantage of that power. Noah would kill me.”

“Noah trusts you. I trust you.”

“Good. We are putting protection on you. They should arrive at your building soon. We’ll also be looking for the person who created this new version of the video. There’s little we can do to get it completely off the internet, but I’ve got some friends who are doing what they can to keep it from spreading any farther than it has.”

“How invisible are they going to be?”
