“It really was, wasn’t it?” She smiled down at me and then kissed me so gently that my heart squeezed painfully.

After we both managed to get our breathing in check, I took Molly home, laid her across my bed, and did it all over again.

And again.

And again until we collapsed in exhaustion on the bed and fell asleep, with my woman in my arms.

Chapter25

Molly

There was something about having the most perfect date, the most perfect night of your life, that made a girl wake up early and with a smile on her face. I stretched my overworked muscles, smiling even wider as I rememberedwhythey were so sore. Colton had loved me every which way, twice in some positions, until I was little more than a mass of sweaty, limp limbs.

Utterly satisfied.

Undeniably in love.

I watched Colton as he slept, his face peaceful and calm, so gorgeous it was like a donkey kick to my chest, the way the love I had for him flooded my body. I pressed a gentle kiss to his shoulder and slid out of bed, rinsing my face and mouth in his bathroom before I went to my room to find something clean to wear; last night’s date clothes were still strewn all over Colton’s room.

Because he couldn’t get enough of me.

A shiver worked its way down my spine as I slipped into a pair of leggings and an oversized tank top, hiking a pair of wool socks up and over my calves to ward off the early morning chill. After the most perfect date in the world and a night of multiple—multiple!—orgasms, a big breakfast was the best way to greet the day.

Forty minutes later, I frowned at the kitchen table, piled with so much food I was sure the table would buckle under the weight. The back door opened, and Wyatt and Hunter rushed in just as Colton stepped inside the kitchen. “Good morning!” I flashed a wide smile to cover up the way my heart pounded at the sight of Colton with his disheveled hair and slightly wrinkled t-shirt. It was so rare to see him look anything other than completely perfect that my heart stuttered to a stop.

“Morning,” he growled, his gaze raking over my body in a long, slow caress.

“I made breakfast. Sit!”

Wyatt laughed and shook his head. “Are we having a breakfast party or somethin’?”

A blush heated my face. “I may have gone a little overboard, but the rest of the guys will appreciate it when they rise for the day.”

Wyatt bumped my hips to move me away from the sink, where he washed his hands and then Hunter’s. “Well, I’m happy to put a dent in it while it’s still hot.”

“Me too!” Hunter smiled at me, and there went another donkey kick to my heart.

“Did you have fun with Uncle Wyatt?”

“Yep. We rode horses and did guy stuff.”

I laughed. “Guy stuff, huh?”

Hunter gave an exaggerated nod. “Pizza and beer and football.”

“Beer?”

He doubled over with laughter. “Root beer for me ‘cause I’m a kid.” He looked down at the table and frowned. “What’s this?”

“This,” I said, picking up the crispy, buttery bread slice before I set it on his plate, “is only the most glorious breakfast food of all time: French toast.” I drizzled some maple syrup on top and cut it up for him. “Taste it.”

He did, and his green eyes went wide with surprise and then fluttered shut as the ecstasy of French toast took over. “This is the best thing ever!”

“I agree with you completely, Hunter.” Wyatt and then Colton settled around the table and began piling their plates with food. I took the empty seat to the left of Colton, my heart battering against my chest like a wild stallion. After last night, how could I still react like a smitten schoolgirl around him?

I couldn’t say, but when his arm brushed against mine, moments from last night flashed in my mind. I’d been so wild and so wanton, so free and adventurous it was like I was a woman possessed. I was someone else entirely, someone beautiful and sensual. Confident.

“Anytime you want to cook too much, you know my number,” Wyatt declared with a sparkling smile. “That was a damn fine spread,” he said as he stood and stacked his plate in the sink, returning to the table to take a French toast, bacon, and scrambled egg sandwich. “For the road.”
