“I think it’s time for us to head home, too,” my mum says, tapping my dad on the arm as he opens his mouth wide behind his hand.

Emory fights a yawn as well. “I definitely need to go. The bread isn’t gonna start baking itself tomorrow if I arrive late.”

“I’ll be off, too. April will be getting home soon,” Josie says.

“Liss, you staying?” Brax asks.

Liss frowns in thought before shaking her head. “There are a few things I want to do at home before going to bed.”

“Oh, pity,” Gia quips. “Theo and I were gonna invite all of you over to our place for another round of drinks—for more privacy.”

I smile. Several Mooners have been patting themselves on the back tonight for successful Operation TGs and BOs. Their numbers are getting thin, though, with some having gone home.

“Next time,” Dad promises.

“You guys are coming, right?” Theo asks me and Brax. “The night is young.”

“Sure,” Brax says readily.

I nod, too, even though I’m quite tired myself. I just haven’t had enough of spending time with Brax despite the fact we won’t be alone.

We all get ready to leave, and Brax kisses Ollie’s head before carefully handing him to his grandfather. Ollie stirs but promptly goes back to dreamland.

Luckily, people seem respectful of Ollie sleeping and we’re able to make our way out of Struck and Stuck without anyone trying to stop the celebrities in our group. Brax and I follow Theo and Gia on foot to their apartment while the rest go on to their respective cars.

“This is nice,” I say as we enter the door shared by Gia’s dance studio and their home upstairs. “We haven’t socialised like this in a while, especially since you guys are so busy with work, getting your house built, and being celebs.”

“And I’m afraid you’ll have to go now,” Theo says, leading us towards the back door.

“What’s going on?” I ask in surprise.

Brax rakes his hair with his fingers, grinning sheepishly. “Theo and Gia are helping us.”

“Helping us with what—” Understanding dawns on me before I even finish my question. “You told them?”

Brax places an arm around my shoulders and gives me an apologetic hug. “Wasn’t my intention, but Theo was very perceptive. He was going to punch me in the face if I didn’t admit to looking at you with lust. See these guns?” He tries to squeeze Theo’s hard bicep. “I got scared.”

I scoff. These two men are of equal strength and physique.

“I thought he was ogling Gia,” says Theo. “Anyway, whether you’re gonna have a one-night stand or otherwise, we’re here to help.”

I let out an appalled chuckle. “Oh, my God.”

Gia rolls her eyes at her boyfriend before turning to me. “For the record, I have no idea what they talked about. All I know is what Theo whispered to me earlier—that we need to help you find time to scratch your itch for each other before Brax goes back to New York.”

“Elegantly put, Theo,” I say dryly. “I guess I should say thank you.”

Theo winks and clicks his tongue. “You’re welcome. We all know about your issue with him, so it’s good you’re trying to clear the air in the best way possible. You can borrow our bikes to get to the Pies’ barn.”

“The Pies’ barn?” I ask Brax.

He shrugs. “Any other suggestions?”

“No.” I cover my face with my hands. “I still can’t believe you had that conversation with Theo.”

“He looked fuckin’ desperate,” Theo quips. “I bet his balls are bluer than blue.”

Gia slaps his arm. “Stop it.” She gives me an apologetic look. “I think he had too much alcohol.”
