“Chelsea Banton announced in a post that she’s coming back here this weekend for another flying visit.”

Brax groans. “I hope it’s not to try to interview me. She’ll just be wasting her time.”

“Funnily enough, you’re not included in this trip’s wish list,” says Emory with a laugh. “But Sweet n’ Moonstruck is.”

“Really?” I ask in surprise.

“Yup. Apparently, she hasn’t tasted it and wants to before Theo’s First comes out. Anyway, I’ll be making my Mooner’s Cake again. I hope that this time she’ll come for a look and a taste.”

“I’ll encourage her to if I happen to talk to her,” I say.

“That’ll be great. Thanks! Anyway, I’ll leave you guys to it. See ya!”

We wave as Emory drives away.

“Chelsea would probably also ask when Theo’s First is releasing,” I say to Brax. “Maybe we can tease the public with a possible launch date through her.”

He raises his brows. “Everything went well with the bank, I take it.”

I grin. “No, not with the bank. My step-uncle from San Francisco is investing with us, and Choc at Old has accepted our offer. It’s all verbal and confirmed through handshake at this stage because the lawyers are still putting together a contract for Uncle Ford, but we don’t see why we can’t start making some noise about it already.”

“Wow, congrats.” Brax shakes his head. “It’s amazing how people in this town find financial solutions through unconventional means.”

“I know,” I say with a laugh. “Anyway, I’d better let you go. I know you also have work to do.”

“Okay.” He kisses my lips again before getting back in his car. “Miss you already.”

“Same here,” I say with a sigh.

I watch him drive away before heading into Moonstruck Chocolatier’s kitchen. Josie is tempering chocolate, Dad is mixing ingredients in a large bowl, and Mum is standing with a bonbon in her hand, smacking her lips while doing a quality and taste test.

“Great timing,” Mum says to me. “There’s some for you.” She points her chin at the meeting table where some bonbons are sitting for me to test.

“First, I have news,” I say with a flourish.

Mum gasps. “Brax proposed?” she asks in a high-pitched voice.

“What?” Dad puts the spatula down.

Josie does a little clap. “Do you have a ring? Show us!”

I lift my left hand and show them my ringless ring finger. “No, we’re not engaged! Wherever did you get the idea from, Mum?”

“Oh. It sounded like you were gonna say something important,” she says in a deflated tone.

“Well, it kinda is. Emory told me that Chelsea Banton is coming back this weekend.”

“She is? That’s perfect timing,” Dad says. “We can whisper in her ear that Theo’s First will be releasing soon.”

I nod. “That’s what I thought, too. Also, her wish list for this upcoming visit apparently includes Sweet n’ Moonstruck.”

“Really? Hasn’t she tried it yet?” Josie asks.

“Doesn’t look like it. Anyway, it’ll be great to have the spotlight on our classic. And maybe I can make a special edition packaging for her. She might love that.”

Dad points a finger at me. “Perfect.”

I still can’t believe my eyes. Chelsea Banton is in our shop incognito! If she hadn’t removed her shades and lifted her black wig to show the strawberry blonde underneath, I’d still think someone was trying to fool us.
