I reach for Kenz and she automatically slides her palm against mine to link our fingers. Every second I’m thankful to have her in my life. We simply fit. Where other women I encountered never once grabbed my attention, she did with one damn word.

Tugging her hand, I bring her to a stop in front of the clubhouse. Our connection is one where she practically reads my mind, but this is something I can’t get her to understand through a few signs or hints. Grabbing my phone, I tap the screen and give her the heads-up she needs before we step inside the clubhouse.

Turning the screen, I let her read my words, “To set the trap we need fresh faces. Faces not linked to Wisely Dicey. Your brothers and cousin are waiting inside. They are going to apply for the assassin job.”

Her eyes meet mine. “All three of them are going to apply?”

I nod.

“Why the hell are my brothers here? Archer can handle this with you guys, there’s no need for the twins to get their foot in the door,” she grumbles and looks down at her feet when she adds, “Butting into my life.”

Reaching out, I take a strand of hair between my fingers and gently pull to make her meet my eyes. When she does, I point at her and make a fist to bring it to my heart.

Kenz raises one of her well-groomed eyebrows. “I know, they’re doing it all for me because they love me. That’s what you’re telling me, right?”

I smile and she gives me a brilliant one in return. Taking advantage of the situation, I decide to risk baring my feelings. Pointing at myself, I then make a fist to place it over my heart and finally point at her.

The tender look overtaking her face is soothing my soul, but she sends an electric current through my veins when she says, “Good, ’cause you made me love you along the crazy rough ride you’ve been taking me on these past few weeks. Which includes the time we messaged, getting to know one another as friends before you really wormed yourself under my freaking skin.”

I reach out and pull her flush against me to taste the mouth that gave me the words I never expected to hear from a woman. Our tongues duel and my cock hardens from the surge of lust crashing through me.

The urgency to bury my cock inside her sweet pussy is overwhelming and completely cut off when a voice snaps, “Stop shoving your tongue down each other’s throat and get in here.”

“Piss off, two-faced turtleneck,” Kenz growls.

A huge grin is on my face when I place my hand on her lower back and guide her into the clubhouse. Livi is standing between Thorsten and Archer in front of church. Most of my brothers are sitting in the main room, while Heath and Hayden are trying to block our path.

Kenz steps forward. I respect her enough to face her brothers but on the other hand, she needs to realize we’re a team now. It’s why I slide my arm around her waist and press her against my side when I step toe-to-toe with her twin brothers.

Heath raises his chin. “Got something to say to us, Falcon?”

Anger flares, and I’d love nothing more than to bash the arrogant fucker’s head in, doing it twice would be a bonus. It’s a shame I’m capable of reining in my temper, but it’s necessary with these two idiots being my woman’s brothers.

It’s a statement I need to make and it’s for this reason I slowly shake my head and turn to Kenz and give her the word, “Mine.”

The word is loud, scratchy, and distorted. A far cry from a normal voice. I’ve only spoken to Kenz ever since the accident happened. Add the stutter and the insecurity about my fucked-up voice, and I never wanted to or tried to speak. Probably why Thorsten is staring at me, wide-eyed, like everyone in the clubhouse. They’re all stunned except for my old lady who is radiating sunshine from her eyes, and it’s all directed at me.

Of fucking course, the twins ruin it by snickering and poking one another in the gut with their elbows.

“See? We were right, she hooked him good.” Heath snickers.

Hayden pokes his elbow into his twin’s side again. “Didn’t expect anything less from our Kenz. She’s dealt with us her whole life: she can handle any fucker.”

“High standards,” Heath agrees.

“Can you two idiots shut up instead of shoving feathers up your own ass?” Kenz grumbles. “You’re in our clubhouse for a reason. If you’re not helping, you can let the door hit you in the ass.”

Heath leans in my direction. “She’s always had a fascination with our asses, mainly in an effort to kick them during training sessions. Not that she ever could, though.”

I need to adjust my grip on her waist when she lunges for her brother. My woman is a damn hellcat when it comes to her siblings. No judgement since I could wring their fucking necks myself and I’ve only been in their presence a handful of times.

“Come on, let’s head into church. Just the twins, Archer, and Falcon. We’ll update the rest once we’ve fine-tuned the details,” Thorsten states. “And Lenz, of course. Lenz, get your ass in here.”

Kenz wants to join Livi who is at the bar, asking Jocko for a bottle of water. I simply keep my arm around her waist and take her with me into church. Thorsten raises his eyebrow at me, and I nod to let him know I’m sure I want my old lady to hear this.

She’s accepted me as a whole, burying bodies together, crash and have a shootout where she fucking protects me; Kenz deserves to be here. Lenz takes a seat and opens his laptop while Thorsten closes the door.

“We have a few options,” Thorsten starts.
