“That’s terrifying. I never would’ve gotten back on if that happened to me.”
Beau laughed, shaking his head. “When I told you I rememberedeverything, I wasn’t lying. I kept riding because I promised to make that wish come true for you. I had to be ready just in case... ”
“Just in case what?”
Beau bent over so his face was to hers. “Just in case the stars aligned one day and you’d gave me another chance. Or I grew balls and showed up and didn’t take no for an answer. Whatever came first.”
He pressed his lips to hers before straightening, accidentally stepping on the pile of Sienna’s clothes where her phone was. Reaching down, Beau grabbed it, smiling at the photo of her and Grace before handing it to Sienna.
I guess the stars aligned after all.

“We hope you enjoyed your flight, Mr. Walker, Ms. Clarke,” the flight attendant said as they approached the door.
Sienna giggled under her breath “They have no idea.”
“Perfect flight. Thanks for the lift,” Beau said before reaching the steps. “Be quiet,” he hushed Sienna, taking her hand. “Or you might earn yourself a reputation among the charter flight staff.”
Sienna’s hand slipped from Beau’s before their feet hit the tarmac. “Please tell me that’s for us.”
Blinded by the California sunshine, Beau squinted to see the bright red convertible. “If you’re going to do the Pacific Coast Highway, you might as well do it right. For the record, it’s not the one fromFerris Bueller’s Day Off. But it’s a similar model.”
Sienna skipped down the stairs, pushing him aside, her long blonde hair trailing behind in the breeze. She stopped a few feet from the car, admiring it and Beau moved past her.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked when he reached for the driver’s side door.
Beau held his hands up and backed away. “Sorry,” he apologized, walking around the car as Sienna jumped into the driver’s seat, squealing when she turned on the ignition and the car roared to life.
Sienna shook her head, and Beau watched as her hands ghosted over the steering wheel. She sighed, leaning her head against the seat and turning to Beau. “Wish list?”
“Wish list.”
Sienna looked back at the dash, the gear, and the interior’s well-conditioned brown leather, which even Beau was impressed by. She pressed her lips together, shaking her head, and he could practically hear Sienna ask herself, “How is any of this real?”
“I told you,” Beau said, clearing his throat, and he waited for Sienna to turn back to him. “I’ll spend the rest of my life laying the world at your feet if you’d just let me. And that’s not just because I’m sorry. That’s because all these things... you’re the only one I want to do them with.”
Sienna took a deep breath and nodded.
“Come on, enough wasting time.” He motioned to the gear. “Let’s see what this baby’s got in her.”
A smile crept across Sienna’s mouth, each minuscule moment and movement lighting up her entire face.Like the sunrise,Beau thought, but before he could let himself enjoy justhowbeautiful and happy Sienna looked in that moment, she slid into first gear, and they flew out of the parking lot.

“Okay, hold up. Slow down, or we’ll miss it.” Beau pointed. “That one.”
Sienna slowed the car. “Onthe beach?”
“Ocean backyard, baby,” Beau said, eyeing the white house as Sienna pulled into the driveway.
Sienna didn’t seem to care about the house because after she turned off the engine, she jumped out of the car and ran aroundit.
Beau hopped out of the convertible. “Wait!” he called to her with a laugh, though unsure why.
If Sienna’s dream was to see the ocean, surely he wasn’t going to stop her when they were just yards away. He sighed and grabbed their luggage and her purse, walking up the flight of steps to the balcony and pushing the side door open.
The open floor plan allowed him to see just about everything the home had to offer—a modest but sleek kitchen, a small living area with a large white couch. There were three doors that Beau assumed led to the bedrooms. He dropped the bags outside one and placed Sienna’s purse on the counter next to a welcome basket. When he looked up, he was reminded he hadn’t brought Sienna to Malibu for the house.
