“Did you add kinks to the wish list and not tell me?”
“No.” Beau laughed, and she could hear and feel him moving away.
“Too bad for me.”
He pinched her side, and Sienna giggled.
“A surprise,” Beau called out, his voice semi-muffled, letting Sienna know he had moved out of the room. “Your gift.”
Sienna frowned. “I didn’t get you anything.”
Suddenly Beau’s lips were against hers. “You just gave meeverything,” he said, giving her side a squeeze.
Still unable to see, the feel of Beau’s soft lips and scruffy face, the taste of him, was stronger, bordering on addictive.
Beau placed a finger to her mouth. “Wait. This first.”
Sienna could hear the gentle scrape of plastic.
“Open,” Beau said quietly.
“Don’t tell me it’s another kind of cheese.”
He was so close that a breathy chuckle tickled Sienna’s cheek. He nudged her leg with his. “Just open.”
Cautiously, Sienna parted her lips. But before Beau even brought the spoon to her mouth, she could smell it. She gasped as soon as the creamy soft serve hit her lips.
“Dole Whip?” she asked, feeling a drop of chilly ice cream slide out of the corner of her lips.
Beau’s finger touched the mess but didn’t wipe it. Instead, he smudged it across her lips. Sienna’s tongue darted out, licking his finger.
“Dole Whip.” The spoon was at her mouth again, and Sienna squealed in delight.
“How?” she asked when Beau brought another bite. “What, did you have it flown in on a private plane, and it’s been in the freezer this whole time?”
She lifted the towel from over her eyes, dropping it on the counter, finding Beau rolling his eyes.
“That would be pretty bad for the environment if I flew uponecup. Besides, this way, you can have it whenever you want.”
Sienna’s mouth hung open before Beau scooped more ice cream into it. “Youboughta machine?”
Beau nodded. “For you. I’ll have it brought to your place.”
She looked down at the creamy dessert. “For me?”
He nodded again, handing her the cup.
“You bought me a frozen yogurt machine?”
“Unlimited Dole Whip was on the wish list, wasn’t it?”
Sienna scooped more, taking another bite. “I haven’t had this since I was six.”
Beau leaned against the island beside her, folding his arms across his chest with a smile.
Sienna’s eyes flew from the cup in her hand. “Another wish come true? How many is that? Two? Three?”
Beau shook his head. “Not yet. But you’ll see. Finish that, and I’ll show you the second part.”
