Page 17 of Make Me Stay

I didn’t have one more in me.

I jerked, and I threw my head back. “Kai, I can’t.”

“You can. I need it.” He flipped the front of my dress down, with my bra, and his head dipped to take my nipple in his mouth, sucking strongly until my knees gripped his hips.

I wrapped an arm around his back and lifted to meet his fingers. He circled my clit then I was gone again.

God,again.

How?

Because Kai.

When I lifted my head to meet his gaze, I saw the satisfaction in his eyes, and I lifted my other hand to push his face away from me.

He laughed. “I think we effectively used your desk.”

I dropped back on my desk, my feet dangling, and I didn’t even care.

“You stay like that and I’m going for round two.”

I sat up and hopped off the desk, only to wobble a little. When his grin widened, I rolled my eyes at him. “Anyone could make me delirious after the drought I’ve had. Don’t get too excited.”

He slid an arm around my back and tucked me against him. “No one else could do that to you, and you know it.”

I gripped his shoulders. I didn’t want to think about that.

This was just supposed to be fun.

He lowered his mouth to mine, kissing me as if he didn’t just fuck the life right out of me.

It was sweet and soft and the lingering mint on his tongue burned mine.

“What’s next?” he asked, against my mouth.

“What do you mean?”

“This can’t be it.” He dug his fingers into my ass.

There was such joy in his gray eyes. His hair was all mussed and sweaty at the temples and he was far too attractive for his own good. But maybe I needed a bit more of that joy.

“I always wanted to try making out in a truck.”

He grinned. “That I can handle.”

“Good.”

He kissed me again. “I think the rain stopped. Guess that means I gotta go back to work. This was much better than my usual lunch hour.”

I laughed. “Mine too. I do need my underwear back.”

“Nope.” He kissed me one more time, then he crouched to pick up the phone. “Told you they’re mine. See you tonight.”

I huffed out an annoyed breath as he slipped out the door.

My grin lasted a moment—or three.

He’d definitely kept his promise. My desk was in shambles.
