Two weeks later

Xaine

The hover pod drifted to a slow crawl in front of the leisure room. The sign above blinked, painting the walkway below a dark blue. Hunter Leisure room, it read. A few omegas stood under the blue glow calling in clients. They smiled and flirted with every passerby. The place seemed popular. Well-dressed alphas went in and out laughing and having a good time.

“This is where he is. Holi stayed at the commune he was assigned to for three days before he got a job here. The establishment caters mostly to alphas and the owner hires very handsome omegas to boost his business.”

Of course, he does. There was no doubt in Xaine’s mind that the owner saw Holi, and he couldn’t help himself. Other alphas who frequent the leisure room will feel the same way too. The omega was stunning…lovely in fact. Xaine was drawn to him every time they met.

“Are you sure this is where he works?” Xaine asked, hoping Klane was wrong. Why would the omega choose such a place? He’d acted all innocent when they met.

“Is he still looking for an alpha?” Xaine asked through clenched teeth. The possessive beast inside him going crazy. He’d fucking kill the alpha.

“I don’t know,” Klane said. “What do you want to do?”

Xaine stared at the door, thinking.

“What are you thinking? You’re scaring me right now,” Klane said.

Holi

“He’s back,” Olen whispered as he walked into the war room. Service bots wheeled around the tiny space, making it hard to move. Holi silently groaned as he pulled one of the empty bots to the table to load it up with customers’ drinks. He couldn’t believe the handsy alpha was back. He visited the leisure room every single day, and he wanted Holi to serve him all the time, much to the owner’s pleasure.

“I have a lot of clients, please serve him,” Holi begged Olen. Holi had been on his feet ever since he got to work. Though he shouldn’t complain, having a lot of clients meant he got paid a lot of credit. And if he managed to turn one of those clients into a regular, he was paid a bonus. The omegas there worked hard to bring in clients, some even promised alphas things Holi didn’t dare think about. He just wanted to make his credit to pay back everything his father owed. It was a good thing he was easy on the eyes, and he looked good in anything.

“I can’t. I have my own regulars, they all came out tonight,” Olen said, blushing slightly. “Even if I could help you. You know he wants only you. You should be grateful for that handsome face. You’re doing way better than the rest of us.”

Yeah, he was. But that wasn’t always a good thing. He was overworked and sleep-deprived. A week and four days of working there, and he could barely recognize himself. The job was slowly killing him, and he couldn’t stop. Not until he bought his freedom from Xaine. Holi’s stomach tightened as he thought of the alpha.

Fuck, Holi couldn’t believe he ran away from such an alpha.

I must be crazy, he thought. But he knew why he ran. He wasn’t going to allow that overbearing beast to touch him. Never. He’d work himself to the bone before he gave himself to him. Holi punched a button on the serving bot to lock it up before it wheeled out of the war room.

“Good luck!” Olen shouted as he walked out.

Yeah, he needed it to deal with the handsy alpha. Holi felt like dousing himself in disinfectant every time he had to deal with the alpha. Holi walked the serving bot to his clients’ table, a brilliant smile ready. He softly spoke to the alphas as he took out their drinks. He’d learned that alphas liked it when he spoke softly and showed them a bit of concern.

“Enjoy,” Holi said, with a slight bow. He turned to go to the handsy alpha’s table when the manager signalled for him to come closer.

“You have another customer. He asked for you by name,” he said. “Go…go…go. He’s at the corner table.”

“I have to a lot of customers tonight. Can’t you ask someone else?”

“He asked you by name, Holi. Go.”

Holi didn't move.

“Go!” the manager shouted impatiently. “Don’t keep your customers waiting.”

Holi walked to his new customer’s table to get his order. He froze in place when he saw who his new customer was.

Xaine Covus.

What the hell? How did he find him so fast?

Holi’s heart thudded in his chest at the sight of him. Xaine sat at the table, leaning against the wall as if he didn’t have a care in the world. His sharp golden-green eyes glowed as they focused on Holi. They ran the length of him lustfully, igniting a fire within him. A sharp stab of desire went through his body, causing a pulsating ache deep in his hole.
