“You did it again, didn’t you?” he pulled away from Xaine, pissed.
Xaine stared for a few tense minutes; his jaw clenched. He moved to the table and sat down. “You’re accusing me of something again. What is it this time? Was it my scent or my alpha voice?”
“I don’t fucking know. But I told you I hate it. What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you do that?”
“Do what?” he asked.
“Make me…make me…” Holi blushed, just thinking about what he’d wanted Xaine to do a few minutes ago.
“You wanted me to claim you,” he finished for him.
“No! I didn’t. I would never want you to claim me. You…you use your scent or your voice…to make feel that way. I would never want you,” Holi said. “Never. I don’t want an alpha like you.”
Xaine flinched. But he seemed to recover as he got to his feet and closed the gap between them. Holi took a step back until his back hit the wall behind him. “Don’t you think if I had the power to use my scent or voice on any omega, I wouldn’t have you here with me?”
Holi gulped.
“How you react to my scent or voice is your problem, not mine. I’ve only ever used my scent on you once. And you were aware of what I was doing. The other times was all you. And for your information. You’re my service omega. I need you for sex. I’ll never claim you.”
Holi gasped. He shoved past Xaine and ran out of the room. He didn’t know why he was hurt. He said the same thing. He didn’t want Xaine to claim him. Xaine didn’t want to claim him either.
So, what was the problem?
Holi shook his head, too hurt to think rationally. He walked down the hallway to the front door. The need to get out of there strong.
“Holi?” Klane called from behind. Holi ran faster. But the beta caught up with him. “Where are you going?”
“I need to get out of here for a while. I just…” He didn’t know. He needed a minute to breathe.
“Preat will take you anywhere you want to go,” Klane said. “You can’t go out there without an alpha or beta. I can go with you…”
“No. I’ll go with Preat. I want to see Blaine.”
“Yes, of course. I’ll go ask him to take you there.”
“Thank you,” Holi said. And a few minutes later, he was in a hover pod, heading to where Blaine was.

Holi
“This is beautiful,” Holi said as he walked around Blaine’s room. The omega had his own room. The house was massive and accommodated ten omegas. All of them had their own rooms. “When Xaine said Klane would find you a place to stay. I didn’t believe him.”
“I didn’t believe it either. This place is beautiful,” Blaine said, sitting on the bed.
“How does it feel living in this massive house?”
“It’s only been a few hours. There’s nothing to tell,” Blaine said, staring at him curiously. Holi walked to the massive window and stared outside. “You know I’m dying to ask, right?”
“Please, don’t,” Holi said. “I don’t want to talk about myself. What are you planning to do? Have you started looking for a job?”
“Oh my god! Don’t be a bore. How did it go with your alpha last night?”
“Ugh…I really don’t want to talk about him.” Holi was still pissed. And he got even angrier whenever he thought of Xaine. He knew his anger was groundless because they both felt the same way. They didn’t want each other, but they found themselves in each other’s lives somehow.
“Did he fuck you?”
“Blaine,” Holi said, horrified.
